A great weekend of football. @JohnathanBonds1 played very well Friday night. @TravisMBonds and @CSU_FB won in Nashville and we saw one of the craziest @GamecockFB games ever at Williams-Brice.
Looking like a great Saturday for football at Williams-Brice! 🏈☀️
The forecast for the 3:30 PM kickoff calls for sunny skies and a pleasant 68°, with northeast winds at 5–10 mph. That’s some good fall football weather. Go Gamecocks! @GamecockFB
We are looking forward to going to the @CSU_FB and @ClemsonFB game this weekend to tailgate with friends and see Travis. Added bonus: the weather looks great. @TravisMBonds
It’s was a fun middle school football season. There’s a lot of talent in this group. If these boys stick together and keep working to get better, they’ll be tough to handle on the varsity field.

Powerful, worth listening to.
Gabe Giardina leads Charleston Southern into Clemson on Saturday. It'll be 6 days after he lost his dad.
His dad Frank passed on Sunday morning, at 4:24AM. Gabe's son, Frank's namesake, was born on 4/24. Frank got to see "1 final CSU win", as the Bucs took down SC State on Saturday night. His career in college sports allowed Gabe some pretty cool moments, he touches on that here.

A lot changes in six years.
From ballboy to ballplayer.
College football ticket prices are all over the board today! 🏈 Ohio State at Iowa leads at $220, while UTSA at Rice and Boston College at SMU start at just $6. Prices via TickPick and subject to change

Just had a student-athlete receive his second college scholarship offer.
Our head coach spoke with the college coach, and these were the questions they asked:
• How is his home life?
• How are his academics?
• How is he in the weight room?
• Is he coachable?
• Does he pick up on concepts?
• Are his parents a problem?
• Is he a complainer?
• Does he run track?
• What is his legitimate size?
Not one question about his stats.
Not a single one.
College coaches are evaluating the whole person.
Character. Family. Academics. Work ethic. Coachability. Football IQ. Physical development. Attitude.
The scoreboard matters. The film matters. The production matters.
But when a college coach is deciding whether they want to invest in a young man for the next four years, who he is matters just as much as what he does on Friday night.
That’s why we talk so much about building the person, not just the player.
The game may get you noticed. Your character determines what happens next.

🏈 Keep a poncho handy for Saturday’s game!
Rain at Williams-Brice isn’t guaranteed, but keep the weather in mind for tailgating and the game. Exact storm timing and placement remain uncertain, so check the radar before heading out. Go Gamecocks! 🐔
For the 4:15 PM kickoff at Williams-Brice Stadium, expect temperatures around 82° with mostly cloudy skies and scattered showers and thunderstorms. Rain chances are around 80%, with southeast winds at 5–10 mph.
If you’re heading to the game, keep the rain gear handy! ☔🐔🏈

Looks like #Bears LB T.J. Edwards listened in as Jalen Hurts gave the play call in the huddle — and then intercepted Hurts on that very play.
I don’t remember what was happening during this middle school game, but judging by my reaction, I must have liked it!
