Yeah but I still don’t understand how to use the goddamn shells in the toilet
I love how Singapore destroys copes on both the left and right wing.
People on the left need to do mental gymnastics to explain why they pay basically 0 in taxes and somehow are the richest and lowest crime rate per capita in the world. Literally the opposite of socialist theory.
People on the right need to do mental gymnastics to explain why an ethnically diverse country is the richest and lowest crime rate capita. It is so high trust, the average Singaporean has a per capita murder rate 6x lower than white Americans. Homicide is essentially a solved issue in a multi-ethnic cramped city.
Its existence is a curveball to every world view, I love it.

When was the last time we mobilized every asset and pulled every lever to build something in vogue and did NOT overbuild?
It is literally baked into our system - it is a FEATURE of our system - to overinvest to the point of numerous bankruptcies.
How is this debatable?

As a lifelong ruralite, I'll tell you about these "people."
In short, they suck. They look at you the way you look at your neighbors who don't pay the light bill, smoke meth, and spent Sunday afternoon doing burnouts in their driveway. They build these little enclaves and never, ever so much as wave at you. If you're taking a walk down the road, they don't even slow down--even if you're pushing a baby stroller or riding a horse--and pepper you with gravel.
Their social circle is elsewhere along with their business: out of state or otherwise "in town." They drive past a dozen country churches where their real neighbors are, to a church an hour away to participate in rich folk intrigues and hear a sermon on just how wonderful they are. They will occasionally try to do "country" things, which to them consists of putting up NO TRESPASSING signs every 8 feet around their palatial estates or drive around on a UTV that costs more than your family car. The people from where they opt to live, are nuisances to their performative country peace & quiet that they advertise, daily, on their social media accounts: "Nothing like a latte on the back porch! Love it out here!!!XOXO" captions a candid photo of the female sitting in a rocking chair that costs more than all the furniture in your house, covered in a artisan wool blanket that was more expensive than your wife's wedding dress. Out in the picture, often out of focus, is the douchebag, white collar, old money nepo-baby husband sitting on a brand new tractor that will never do any real work besides being a glorified lawnmower that weighs as much as a panzer tank. The front loader of which will never actually scoop shit or dirt, but will move some cute little strawbales around for their Fall Display that nobody will see from the road, but they'll also post on social media.
They are insufferable, soulless people who see the countryside as something to consume, a brand to which they wish to be associated.

There's an easy compromise here-Give DC statehood but abolish the Senate so that they don't get two senators
Still no explanation on how any of this works with chips that could be obsolete before they are ever installed
SpaceX just committed to $40 billion of Nvidia GPU financing, arranged by Apollo.
From SpaceX’s October 26 8-K:
-an Apollo vehicle buys the chips and leases them to SpaceX. SpaceX repays the full cost in 20 quarterly installments, plus a fixed rate on the balance.
- SpaceX owes every payment even if Nvidia ships something better in 2029.
- the rate isn’t set, but reported price talk runs 7.75% to as high as 8.75%.
The most interesting part:
Apollo already financed billions of GPUs leased to xAI through Valor vehicles. I searched the June 30 SEC filings for those loans. They didn’t stay with institutions.
- One Apollo BDC sold to individuals holds $566.5 million.
- Four Blue Owl BDCs hold $487.8 million.
the list goes on..
And the filings can’t agree on whether this is “Technology Hardware,” “Infrastructure” or “Asset-Backed Securities" 🫠

If I'm working full time, can't afford to eat at the place I work, and the guy who personally cut my foodstamps and Medicaid just parked his $2 million dollar toy on the same streets he doesn't pay taxes to help maintain, you better believe the spit I put in his food is the most sanitary thing he's eating today.
