Thank you, Ms. @JessicaJackCFR CHICAGOANS, I'VE BEEN TRYING TO TELL YOU! WAKE UP AND RISE UP! Because the real Chicagoans are not showing up at these meetings, Cook County Board meetings, City Hall meetings, you have people speaking on your behalf and telling YOUR story! And that's the problem! You have people telling your story as if it's the facts, when they don't have a clue what's really going on in YOUR communities or what YOU are experiencing every single day! CHICAGOANS, YOU HAVE TO RISE UP AND MAKE YOUR VOICES HEARD! Stop allowing other people to speak for you, represent your struggles, and tell your story while you're not even in the room! Show up at these meetings! Speak up! Hold your elected officials accountable! RISE UP, CHICAGOANS! TAKE YOUR RIGHTFUL PLACE AS CITIZENS OF THIS COUNTRY! Your voice matters! Your community matters! Your future matters! CHICAGOANS FIRST! AMERICANS FIRST! 🇺🇸 Danielle Carter-Walters for Mayor 2027 Www.dannicformayor.com

Great recommendations from @FlipChicagoRed for #MWRD
MWRD steals money and displaces homeowners all year long… especially in the south suburbs! The Metropolitan Water Reclamation District (MWRD) helps manage Cook County’s wastewater and flooding while spending hundreds of millions of taxpayer dollars annually. It’s time to switch some people out so we can see what the books look like and get to the bottom of what I believe is the retention pond scam! 🗳️ 2026 MWRD REPUBLICAN CANDIDATES: 🇺🇸 Michelle Pennington (R) 🇺🇸 Timothy E. Rueckert (R) 🇺🇸 Jill B. Shestokas (R) 📅 Election Day: Tuesday, November 3, 2026!

Great explanation about MWRD from @mrstealyourwig1 of @FlipChicagoRed and introduction to @JillShestokas Commissioner Candidate. There's One more day to make that change.
I was introduced to the MWRD — Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago — when a family from Harvey reached out to me. This was a family that had put generations into their property and community, only to be forced to move for a proposed retention pond. And that caught my attention. The retention pond still hasn’t been built — and there isn’t a reservoir nearby. So I started paying attention to MWRD. WHAT IS MWRD? In simple terms, MWRD is an independent government agency responsible for wastewater treatment, stormwater management and major flood-control infrastructure across Cook County. That includes projects involving flooding, drainage, retention/detention, waterways, sewers, reservoirs and the massive Deep Tunnel system. MWRD also partners with municipalities on local stormwater projects. (MWRD) And here’s something a lot of Cook County residents probably don’t realize: MWRD is governed by nine commissioners who are elected countywide. (MWRD) These are elected officials making decisions involving major infrastructure, land, flooding and taxpayer money — but how many voters actually know who their MWRD commissioners are or what they do? MWRD elections are coming up November 3, and I recently had the opportunity to speak with candidate Jill Shestokas. I’m paying attention to this race now. Because that family in Harvey showed me why these offices matter. To my fellow Democrats and Americans, this is why I want JB Pritzker gone. He hit us with 63 tax and fee hikes since 2019. That’s about $86 billion extra taken from families and businesses. Doubled the gas tax from 19 cents to 38 cents and locked it to inflation forever so it just keeps going up. Seven of his eight budgets broke spending records, top one hit $55.9 billion. Illinois got the highest tax burden in America now, 53% higher than the national average. Highest combined state and local taxes and highest cell phone taxes too. Truth in Accounting gave us an F on finances, worst unfunded pensions in the country. A Chicago taxpayer is sitting on about $79,500 in combined state and city debt. He signed a pension sweetener for Chicago cops and firefighters that adds like $11 billion more by 2055. Chicago’s pensions got over $50 billion in promises and only $14 billion in assets. We still got the lowest credit rating of any state. He barely vetoes anything, under 1%, just 29 vetoes on almost 3,500 bills. Signed every single bill in the 2026 session, 395 of them. Promised to veto those partisan gerrymandered maps then signed them anyway. While he’s been in office 11 former state lawmakers pleaded guilty or got convicted, including Madigan on racketeering. No real ethics reform. About 275,000 people left Illinois in his first term and took $35 billion in income with them. We’re on pace to lose a congressional seat after 2030. Private sector job growth basically nothing at 0.1%. Ranked 43rd in the country. During COVID he dropped 119 executive orders. Extended the emergency 42 times and ruled by decree for 1,155 days, longer than 49 other states. Schools ranked 43rd for actual in-person learning. Auditor General found $5.24 billion in improper unemployment payments, $2.8 billion of that just gone to identity theft and never coming back. Chicago Tribune linked him to Bahamas trusts that may have ducked millions in taxes while he was raising taxes on the rest of us. Cook County Inspector General said his family pulled toilets out of their Gold Coast mansion to get a $331,000 property tax break. His name came up on Blagojevich’s wiretaps too. He’ll say 8 balanced budgets, 12 credit upgrades, bills backlog cleared, $2 billion rainy day fund. Those “balanced” budgets needed $86 billion in new taxes. The backlog got cleared with federal COVID money. That rainy day fund is nothing next to $90 billion in debt and the worst pension mess in America. Elections coming. Read the receipts then go vote. We trying to fire JB Pritzker, man. This guy gotta go. That’s all we asking.

Low voter turnout leads to poor representation. When only 14% show up, the results reflect that apathy. It is time to get involved and make your voice heard—change only happens when people turn up. #VoterTurnout #CivicDuty

Bureaucratic delay shouldn't cost families their safety. When projects stall for years, communities suffer the consequences. Advocacy works—sometimes a simple spotlight is all it takes to force action and protect the neighborhood. #CommunityAction #Accountability

Kwame Raoul is terrible. He has done nothing about the crime or corruption in IL. All he’s done is wasted his time going after ICE & Trump for the minimal time they’ve spent in IL.
