Earth is a water planet.
Unsurprisingly, the world’s oceans of water in all their physical states – solid, liquid and gas – totally dominate the world's climate.
Equally unsurprisingly, CO₂ – a gas comprising only 0.04% of the atmosphere is totally insignificant.

“The change in observed backscatter radiation should give us a measurable temperature increase of 2.4 to 4 K by using the Stefan Boltzmann law. But we only observe a very slight temperature increase due to CO2 backscatter.”

A lighted candle will increase the temperature in a cathedral.
A fence post installed in a river will slow its flow.
Climbing a mountain will slow the rotation of the Earth.
Increasing CO2 by .01% will cause global warming.
