Me on the rotten core of climate "science" exposed in the ClimateGate emails: "Looking at it from the outside, I think people would be shocked at how small this core group of people was...how incompetent they were and how dishonest they were, but I think there was just maybe tens of thousands of other people beyond the core group that just assumed some smart people had proved the whole thing...I think tons of people went along with it because they trusted this core group when they shouldn't have." If you think that ClimateGate was a nothingburger, you didn't read the emails.
