The work you put in is never wasted. Those who built infrastructure in DC in 2010-2011, or Texas in 2014, or in the myriad of other places. It's never a waste. It's a hope and it's a prayer and it's work that matters. And it never ends. It's a lifetime fight.
Big props to my six year old for noticing that our neighbor's porch had caught on fire. I was able to grab a fire extinguisher and put it out before it extended too far, including to two propane tanks nearby.

The voters have spoken, and I want to extend my congratulations to James Talarico on his election to the U.S. Senate. I look forward to meeting him and offering my assistance with his transition as he prepares to serve Texans in the U.S. Senate.
I mean, I filled out the application form too. Except I didn't end my career in DC politics in disgrace. I never had one. I just lived my life the best I can making a difference where possible.
Voters on the left and right fear the America they’ve known is slipping away. In dozens of AP interviews with people who voted early in the midterms, angst was palpable among both President Trump’s opponents and many of his supporters. apnews.com/article/election-…
I know it's hard to accept but this is 2014, this is maybe 2010, this is possibly 2006. None of the nonsense over the past few days is going to change the fundamentals. The GOP is in the toilet led by an incredibly unpopular president. Voters are going to reject that.
And it's not necessarily a vote of confidence for Democrats. It's a rejection of Trump and the MAGA movement and it's best Dems not misunderstand that.
He's so good at this.
El-Sayed: I have a sense that you all are here today because of the decisions of somebody who's not here right now. I'm just going to tell you, this is a state of 10 million people who deserve a lot better from their government. I'm a lot more focused on the 9,999,998 that are not the ones you guys are talking about
I'm not in the business of driving clicks for you. I'm in the business of trying to solve problems for the people of my state
