NEW: Teachers in the province will begin work to rule on Monday. That means all voluntary services are off and staff will begin their shift 15 minutes before the work day and end 15 minutes after the work day.

On this day in 1932, John Vernon was born in Zehner, Saskatchewan.
Vernon had a successful acting career beginning as a live stage actor for CBC TV.
He was Dean Wormer in Animal House, the Mayor in Dirty Harry & Fletcher in The Outlaw Josey Wales.
He died in 2005.

RCMP say a coach bus rolled over east of Wolseley on #1 this morning. Highway is closed outright from Wolseley to the MB border.
Also highway hotline reports a crash at Chamberlain, closing lanes of #11 in both directions.
Hwy 1 is closed between Wolseley and the Manitoba border because of ice and snow. Several vehicles are reported in the ditch. Please give crews time to do their work.
