🧠 A rare convergence in Down syndrome research.
Three independent studies across @NatureMedicine & @ScienceMagazine have converged on the same molecular drivers of DS brain development.
A thread on why this matters 🧵👇

Step by step, the field is building the foundations for targeted approaches.

Dear @lufthansa, @lufthansaNews downgrading my 80 year old mum two classes and forcing us to fly 13 hours in separate cabins, because you prioritise selling all your seats, rather than caring for existing customers is deplorable.
As is not receiving any official response, compensation, or apology to our complaint after > 1.5 years. My mum is still recovering from the trauma of flying on her own, when for months she was reassured we would fly TOGETHER, after the forced isolation caused by COVID-19
I hope this horrendous incident can now be resolved by the #LuftfahrtBundesamt, #SÖP, #FederalOfficeJustice and/or #LegalAction
#Flightcancellation, #CustomerServiceNightmare, #FlightComplaint, #UnhappyCustomer
As is your spectacularly unprofessional customer service, exemplified by one of your agents based on the Fiji Islands swearing and giggling, having fun with a colleague, while on the phone with me who tried to explain this was an urgent and serious matter.

Why is age the main risk for Alzheimer’s disease? Mouse models reveal that the loss of myelin integrity is causally linked to enhanced plaque deposition. Great work by @ConstanzeDepp, @TingSun_MPINAT et al. in Nature nature.com/articles/s41586-0…
