Like @ZaluzhnyiUA, I never imagined Russia was dumb enough to continue its invasion past its first disastrous two weeks in March 2022.
Nevertheless, Ukraine’s dominant strategy since the first few days has been to troll Russia further and further in.
Remember: the goal here is the absolute destruction of the Russian state and permanent destruction of its white supremacist leaders capability to wage war.
This is the best chance in three centuries to rid the world of Ruschism.
So, though, Donald thinks he’s helping Russia, actually he is serving our strategic goal:
Don sprinkles just enough hope inside Ruschist leadership that it will prevail.
Meanwhile Ukraine builds irreversible capacity to utterly destroy the Ruschist state.
European leaders now get this. Global security depends now on Ukraine.
You’re either with Ukraine, against Ukraine or, as is the case with Donald, a mere instrument in Ukraine’s complex operation to troll Ruschia towards its complete annihilation as a State.

While President Zelenskyy’s strikes are devastating her native Russia, Russia-born @juliaioffe focussed on inside-the-beltway gossip.
She cites the mythical Ukraine supporters who also supported doing nothing when Russia occupied Crimea.
She shares the typical Ruschist viewpoint that uppity Ukraine and President Zelenskyy should just lie back, like an Epstein victim, and watch his people be murdered.
Donald is leading a former hegemon into the abyss.
Ioffe and those she cites are so blinkered by their pre-2014 prejudices that they can’t see that Ukraine is the superpower now.
All of Europe depends on its army, tactics, attacks 2,500km+ across Russia and weaponry. All these so-called Ukraine supporters spent decades telling everyone to lie back and let russia murder millions.
Now today every day relentlessly President Zelenskyy’s army devastates Russia and permanently remove 2,000 Russians from the battlefield. Yet, these inside the beltway experts can only focus on President Zelenskyy’s manners.
Her fake Ukraine-Supporters’ views were taken on board by Ukraine until 24 February 2022.

To be clear: Russians like Ioffe should either sit this one out. We don’t care about your opinions. Or do like the only Russians who have the right to speak about Ukraine at the moment:

The Gessens, Ioffe’s, most of the grant-funded so-called Opposition have no right to any opinion on Ukraine. None. Every time they speak they undermine Ukraine and demonstrate their colonisation by Russian colonialist perspectives.
Ukraine is an empire now, and when we act, we create our own reality.
And while you're studying that reality—judiciously, as you will—we'll act again, creating other new realities, which you can study too, and that's how things will sort out.
We're history's actors... and you, all of you, will be left to just study what we do.
⚡️Now is the time to think about Future Russia.
The current Ruschist state dissolves and splinters. It leaves a remnant based around St Petersburg and Moscow.
Even then, however, the Russia problem will not have been solved.
A state of Moscow and St Petersburg can still be the old empire in a smaller coat.
Inside Future Russia, two Russias will argue over the country. The rest of us need to know, from the first day, which one is speaking.
One is Historical Russia.
The other is Real Russia.
The purpose of this is to explain to you the difference.
Understanding this difference can help us cut through debates today, rhetoric today, and what I call, in other projects, Disinfolklore today.
One is Historical Russia.
The other is Real Russia.
They cannot share one country.
For 30 years, plenty of Russians, plenty of Western experts thought the Russia of the doctrine of Russkiy Mir and the Russia of the map could get along. Indeed, they thought they could even help each other.
They cannot. Sooner or later, one devours the other.
The Real Russia devours the Historical Russia.
Or, as is occurring today, the Historical Russia is devouring itself.
The hardest place to separate the Real Russia from the Historical Russia is not on any map.
It is inside the head of every Russian.
And, indeed, it is inside the heads of those of us who have spent our working lives watching Russia.
I’ve noticed in my own time that Russia experts themselves are just as susceptible to falling for Historical Russia trolls as complete neophytes…

⚡️AfD Models as Merciful/ Merciless Sovereign.
1. Inner/Outer Realm sleight-of-hand: Inner Realm = Germans (her constituency). Outer Realm = “the bear” (Russia framed as predator). Ukraine — the actor actually defending itself — is disappeared from the analytical frame entirely. This deletion-of-the-victim-from-the-analytical-space is itself a recurring signature.
2. Agency inversion: “Germany helping Ukraine drone-bomb Russia” makes Germany the active party. Ukraine becomes the receiver of help rather than the attacked party defending itself. The original aggressor (Russia) is reframed as the passive recipient of aggression. Three-step agency reversal.
3. War Magic operation in “making Germans insecure”: declaring Germans insecure performatively manufactures the insecurity. Same substrate-summoning mechanism Buchanan’s “Cultural War” speech enacts. The statement is the act.
4. Axis-of-Misogyny coalition tell: AfD is documented Axis-of-Misogyny coalition member. The Putin/Buchanan trans-civilizational adoption pattern (Cultural War memo) predicts AfD will deploy “don’t poke the bear” specifically because their coalition partner’s continued ability to wage war benefits from Western non-intervention. The framework can flag this as coalition-signature, not just individual-statement.
5. Stealth Genocide enabler signature (Ch 10): refusing Ukraine self-defence enables continued Russian atrocity production. AfD positions as Merciful Sovereign FOR GERMANS while structurally enabling Merciless Sovereign acts AGAINST Russian-speaking Ukrainians — the very people Putin claims to be protecting. The doubly-inverted-Merciful-Sovereign nesting is the deepest detection signal here. AfD’s “protection” creates more Mariupol Drama Theatres.
6. WWII-Restart signature (yesterday’s canonical memo): Germany ratified the UN Charter precisely because the previous regime initiated WWII. AfD framing argues against the very legal apparatus Germany committed itself to upholding after 1945. AfD ↔ Russian-state framing is convergent on dismantling Article 51 / UN Charter.
7. “Drone-bomb” verbal conversion: “bombing” rather than “targeting military infrastructure / refineries / supply lines” verbally converts Ukrainian lawful self-defence into something morally indistinguishable from aggression. Article 51 right of self-defence rhetorically erased.
8. Outer-Realm Mask signature (yesterday’s memo): Germany is IE-Germanic substrate; Russia is IE-Slavic substrate — sister-branches. AfD reactivating Germanic-vs-Slavic Othering reactivates exactly the deep cultural template Germany formally committed to never reactivating after 1945. The Mask is performing distance from a substrate Germany is in fact cognate to.
9. Reflexive Control conditioned-response: Russia has spent years training Western publics to internalise “we should not be Russia’s enemy” logic. AfD leader is performing the reflexive-conditioned response the training was designed to produce. She is the operation’s output, not its independent observer.
10. “Bear that retaliates if poked” sustained by FEAR not by demonstrated retaliation: Russia has not actually retaliated proportionately against Germany for past arms supplies. The archetype’s life depends on continued fear, not continued evidence. AfD leader’s statement sustains the fear-archetype that makes future Russian aggression rhetorically permissible.
11. Tool 11 (Insight) antidote — the temporal-stratification check: The framing of “the bear” requires forgetting Mariupol, Bucha, Izyum, Kharkiv. The framing’s coherence depends on amnesia. The framework’s Insight tool surfaces what’s been disappeared from the temporal record.
12. Tool 12 (Cryptotypic Literacy) — bear-archetype reinforcement: The AfD leader is reinforcing Russia’s preferred self-archetype. Cryptotype-ride.

⚡️Revolutions in Paris, DC, Berlin: Turning, Then Righting
The hero needs a damsel. If there is no damsel in distress, well, no bother. You distress one. Then you ride in.
The movement I want to bring into our minds is turning, then the straightening. I am going to keep saying it.
Turning, then righting. I want to embed it, so that when our minds are being turned by someone, in real time, we recall this little mantra.
Turning, righting.
When you see a revolution on the streets of Paris, whether in 1789 or today, that is turning. And then comes the righting of the turning.
Think of a wheel. The wheel is turning, with a Tr- in it, the consonantal pair. When it stops turning, it is righted. You have a wheelwright who fixes it. The wheel was turning, then it was broken.
There is a riot, perhaps, or an insurrection. Then someone rights it. The wheelwright rights the wheel.
So you create the chaos, which is the turning. Then you purport to save it, to solve it, which is the righting.
The riot is the turning. The strong man who says I will lock every rioter up, or indeed the strong woman leader who says it, I will lock the far left up, that is the righting.
And because the hand that offers the righting was behind the turning, the righting is his to offer.
Think of a wheelwright who plants stones or nails on the road. Think of running a business that fixes tyres. You guarantee yourself plenty of custom by putting nails on the street.
The hand that offers the righting was behind the turning, and he is ready for it, because he planned it.
The oldest shape of the trick is the damsel in distress. France is in distress. Europe is in distress. russian Disinfolklorists love the motif, and I have written about it often.
The hero needs a damsel. If there is no damsel in distress, well, no bother. You distress one. Then you ride in.
America was great. You say it is not great. You convince people it is not great. In fact you make it ungreat. You degrade America. You distress America, and then you say you are going to save it.
There is an abhorrent cultural meme I have spoken about before, the men who call themselves pick-up artists. They nag their victims.
Your nose is a bit too big. Wow, I am surprised you ever had a girlfriend, because you are pretty ugly. Then they use that vulnerability to hook the person. That is the micro level.
On the macro level we are not used to this. We are not used to it in geopolitics. We are not used to it in politics. We are not used to people arranging riots like the January 6th insurrection and then riding in to supposedly fix it. We are not used to countries carpet bombing, let us say, Syria.
Imagine a country like russia, which was having problems in Ukraine in the summer of 2015. It decides to carpet bomb Syria, which it starts doing in September 2015. That provokes millions of migrants, because nobody wants to die. The migrants come into Europe. They cause political chaos. And the people who ride to the rescue are PiS in Poland and Orbán in Hungary. Germany had a lot of problems. Merkel invited them in, legalised a million migrants and more or less absorbed them.
Now we have the AfD, supported by russia, riding high in the polls.
You cause the distress, then you purport to solve it. You cause the distress, then you sponsor political movements like the National Rally, you offer them massive loans, and then you purport to solve it. The same trick in Reform. It is a routine.

⚡️Three things about russians prevent ceasefires.
1. ruschists think Ukraine and US offering a ceasefire is Ukraine and US saying: We’re weak. russia eats weakness for dinner.
2. No matter what services Donald performs for Putler, Putler and his apparatchiks distrust Americans. They’ll never get over this.
3. I monitored Russia’s ceasefires on the ground in Stanytsia luhansk’s eastern Ukraine for three years (2015-2018). While western capitals forgot about Ukraine, Russia broke the main Minsk ceasefires every day.
Meanwhile, Iran turns Saudi Arabia back into desert. You see, Donald can’t even protect Saudi Arabia. Ukraine’s not gonna lay down arms and let Russia turn it into desert.
