Conditions look very rough on $SPY futures (ES futures) as seen on several timeframes:
Of note:
-bearish liquidity everywhere (candles are red)
- Aggressive ask on the 987-minute
- Bearish liquidity on the weekly
Downside is most likely in the near future, and potentially extending into the next month if LT-6 support is needed on the weekly.

What is it? It's the classic sign of a late stage investment boom/bust cycle that Austrian economists mapped out over 100 years ago
When an artificially stimulated investment booms hit genuine physical production constraints, factor prices spike, causing projects to ultimately be delayed or abandoned (surprise surprise, over half of 2026's planned data center projects have been delayed or denied to date)
As shortages emerge, it's a signal of the late stage of distortions caused in the economic capital structure during the boom, and a leading indicator of the coming bust.
The bust ultimately will reveal that a significant portion of current AI infrastructure investment is funded by excess capital chasing too few real physical goods, and for which there will never be a positive ROI.
When the profits to repay all this capital does not materialize, the memory shortage of today becomes the stranded asset problem of tomorrow
If you want a look at the future, just imagine warehouses full of expensive, underutilized HBM-equipped compute that was built for a demand curve that never arrived
Enjoy the ride while it lasts... these stories have always ended the same way, and no it's not "different this time"

There isn't a "giant gamma squeeze" happening in the market. That's not how things work.
1) you have to be very confident you know the direction of options,
2) gamma-hedging is not linear and you can have a lot of short gamma without gamma squeezes;
3) so far nominal GS counts are only slightly elevated (~1,000);
4) most GS (95%) push price down not up.
Sorry!
This is more likely just an organic ask + aggressive bid dynamic pushing $+ as the ask walks up the bid demand.
