Obviously @GovNedLamont’s wrong way signs are worthless when the driver can’t read English and does not belong in our Country. Tragic.
Absolutely heartbreaking.
Guillermo Carmona-Lopez, an illegal alien from Mexico, killed Ryan O’Shea, a 21-year-old New Haven student, in a collision on October 16.
This was a completely avoidable tragedy, Carmona-Lopez was TWICE-DEPORTED and had ZERO standing to be in our nation.
DHS will continue the fight to prevent the creation of more Angel Families — under the leadership of @POTUS Trump, this injustice WILL end.

“Celebrating The Life Of Ryan O’Shea 27’”
Devin Bertrand is the general manager of the men’s ice hockey team at the University of New Haven, and he spoke at the memorial service for Ryan held two days ago.
“The guys who have stood shoulder-to-shoulder with him proudly wearing the blue, white, and gold and have went to battle with Ryan are the ones who feel this loss the most.”
EXCLUSIVE: University Hockey Captain Killed in Wrong Way Collision With Twice-Deported Mexican Illegal in Sanctuary Connecticut
A beloved member of the University of New Haven community was killed in a head-on collision with a driver who is in the U.S. illegally, federal authorities have confirmed with Border Hawk.
The tragedy unfolded at around 11:45 p.m. on Oct. 16 in North Haven, Connecticut.
Ryan O’Shea, 21, was driving southbound on Interstate 91 when a pickup truck traveling in the wrong direction slammed into his Honda Accord, causing his vehicle to strike two SUVs, Connecticut State Police (CSP) explained in an accident summary.
O’Shea, who was on his way back to campus after playing in a hockey game, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The driver of the pickup truck, who suffered “serious life-threatening injuries,” was identified as 31-year-old Guillermo Carmona-Lopez, a resident of Bridgeport, Connecticut.
“In May 2013, Border Patrol arrested Carmona-Lopez, a criminal illegal alien from Mexico, after he illegally entered the country. Carmona-Lopez was issued an expedited removal and was removed from the country,” the Department of Homeland Security told us.
“He then illegally reentered the country near the Rio Grande Valley after being removed—a felony—and was once again arrested by Border Patrol in May 2013. Carmona-Lopez was issued a final order of removal on May 30, 2013. He then reentered the country at an unknown time and place.”
It is currently unclear if Carmona-Lopez will face charges in connection with the crash.
A resident of Stony Point, New York, O’Shea served as senior assistant captain of the university’s club hockey team and also chapter president of the Kappa Sigma fraternity.
He was studying criminal justice with a concentration in police science and aspired to work for the New York Police Department.
“Ryan was not only a great leader, but he was a caring friend to anyone around him. He always knew how to light up a room and make people laugh, no matter the time. Ryan’s leadership and the memories he has made will never be forgotten,” Kappa Sigma wrote in an Instagram post memorializing O’Shea.
Ryan’s sisters said he “always found a way to make everything positive.”
“He was always trying to go out of the way to help others and include them in new spaces if they didn’t know anyone,” Kiera O’Shea stated.
Two memorial scholarships have been established in Ryan O’Shea’s name. Contributions can be made here.
We contacted CSP to request more information on this investigation and Carmona-Lopez’s current condition and will provide updates if they become available.

Remember, @ChrisMurphyCT, @NedLamont, @rosadelauro and every Democrat in Connecticut wants you to believe the heroes of @ICEgov are the bad guys.
If they let ICE do their jobs, Ryan would be in class right now.

This election comes down to one question: Is Connecticut more affordable than it was eight years ago? Are your taxes lower? Are your electric bills cheaper? And if not, can you afford years 9, 10, 11, and 12 of the same policies and the same governor?
Connecticut needs a new approach.
I love Connecticut. I’m running for governor to deliver the largest middle-class tax cut in state history, reduce electricity bills, and bring jobs and opportunity back to our state. Join us. We can bring people together and make the future brighter for everyone in Connecticut.

EXCLUSIVE: African Illegal Charged for Kidnapping, Stabbing Teen Girl in Sanctuary Maryland AFTER Being Released by Biden and NYC Officials
A dangerous illegal alien captured and released on multiple occasions has been charged for allegedly kidnapping an underage victim and attempting to kill her in the sanctuary state of Maryland, federal say.
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) just provided Border Hawk with immigration background on Abubakarr Barrie, a 23-year-old citizen of Sierra Leone.
On Oct. 22, Barrie picked up a 15-year-old girl after offering her a ride to her desired destination but instead brought her back to a basement apartment he was renting in Baltimore shortly after 8 p.m., Fox Baltimore reports.
The girl later told authorities that Barrie had become violent inside the vehicle, putting his arm around her head and neck before ordering her to follow him into his residence.
While inside, the victim says Barrie stabbed her several times while ripping off her clothes.
"She began scratching and clawing at Mr. Barrie’s body, in an effort to flee, ultimately finding a fire extinguisher in the room, picked it up and began hitting Mr. Barrie with it, finally able to get away from him stabbing her and fled the home on foot with no shoes or clothes on," charging documents state.
Approximately 30 minutes later, police found the girl blocks away, suffering from stab wounds and a collapsed lung.
Barrie was arrested and hit with nine charges, including attempted first-degree murder and kidnapping.
Additionally, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) lodged a detainer against Barrie, who illegally crossed the southern border into Arizona in 2023.
He was apprehended and released into the interior by the Biden regime.
In July 2026, Barrie was arrested in New York City for possession of a forged instrument.
NYC officials ignored an ICE detainer at the time and set Barrie loose once again.
Barrie was also arrested for prostitution in Baltimore County roughly three months ago, but that case is reportedly on hold.
“This illegal alien is charged with attempted murder and kidnapping after he allegedly stabbed a 15-year-old girl,” said DHS Secretary Markwayne Mullin.
“This tragedy would never have happened were it not for the multiple failures of sanctuary policies. First Biden’s open borders let this monster into our country, then sanctuary politicians in New York refused to hand him over to ICE and released him after a previous arrest three months before this horrific crime. DHS is urging Baltimore County authorities to learn from sanctuary New York’s mistakes, honor ICE’s detainer against this illegal alien, and prevent him from harming any more Americans.”

University of New Haven hockey captain Ryan O’Shea was k*lled on I-91 by a twice-deported Mexican national driving the wrong way.... in SANCTUARY STATE CONNECTICUT.
⠀
Ryan O’Shea, 21, was heading back to campus after a hockey game when Guillermo Carmona-Lopez slammed into him head-on in North Haven. The impact forced his Honda Accord into other vehicles. He was pronounced d*ed at the scene.
⠀
O’Shea served as senior captain of the club hockey team and studied criminal justice. He interned with the NYPD and planned to become a police officer.
⠀
Border Patrol arrested Carmona-Lopez in May 2013 after he crossed illegally from Mexico. Agents issued an expedited removal order and removed him from the country. He later crossed again near the Rio Grande Valley and received a final order of removal that same month.
⠀
Connecticut’s Trust Act under Ned Lamont restricted local police from working with ICE. The state still gave him a driver’s license. He remained free to drive on I-91.
⠀
Another American is gone because sanctuary rules let a twice-removed man stay on the road. Remember this when you vote.
