There’s a beauty about letter writing that is eternal. (And currently still an option for a little break from the general digital bombardment if anyone needed an alternative means to connect with friends and loved ones sometimes…) ✉️

Happy #WorldPostcardDay! At lunch time today, go out and send one. Don't have a postcard? Improvise. I once sent my dad a postcard that was literally plain brown cardboard packaging. 😄😄 Postcard below shows the Ayala Bridge in Manila, co-designed by Gustave Eiffel himself. 1/4

Scans from Lora Lamm. Grafica a Milano 1953-1963. In the written history of mid-century Italian and Swiss Graphic Design, Lora Lamm’s name is often overlooked. Lamm was a major contributor to the Milanese design style of Italy during the 1950s and 1960s. designreviewed.com/artefacts…

One of the most wildly inventive of all counterculture zines, Kaliflower was an "intercommunal newspaper" first published in April 1969 by San Francisco’s Sutter Street Commune, later the Kaliflower Commune. It had a low survival rate - complete runs are rarely seen today. 1/

First produced and patented by the Lion Match Co. in the early 1930s, feature matchbooks have unique, flattened rows of wider match stems printed with original art. By the 1990s, the Lion Match Co. had gone out of business, but you can still get feature matchbooks produced today.
