Zelenskyy: "When our strikes reached Yandex data centers, it suddenly became little easier to breathe on many social media platforms. Many people noticed it.
There was less hate, less division, fewer provocations because there were fewer bots. It's pretty clear where those bots were coming from.
If they disappeared when Yandex went offline, this proves once again that Europe is not the source of the problems."
The big problem is that Russia figured out how modern society consumes information a decade ago, but the West hasn't.
There are millions of bots commenting and posting Russian propaganda. There are paid influencers spreading it, with Russian bots supporting their content.
There is a gigantic machine operating to radicalize and influence Western societies, and there is not enough defense in place.
It doesn't just influence elections, it sows discord, engulfs societies in culture wars, radicalizes teenagers, and shapes political decisions when elected officials fail to read the room.
That needs to change. And fast.

On the day after @peterjukes & I broke the story of Arron Banks’s covert meetings with the Russian ambassador, I was invited onto @BBCr4today to discuss it. Big news! Finally the chance to break through to a BBC audience. Only the interview was cancelled because they needed ‘someone from the other side’ & the Russian ambassador wasn’t available. Facts don’t have a side. It meant the BBC never covered the story. And here we are..
Bless me, Twitter, for I have sinned. I have been scoffing Aldi's iced mince pies since the beginning o f the month.

So Zelensky took out a major Russian bot farm and social media traffic on X and other sites dropped by 50%. HALF of the traffic on social media is nothing but Russian propaganda bots and trolls.
Things that make you go hmmmm.

People really underestimate the capability of healthy soil to capture carbon, to hold water, to regulate temperature, to generate warmth (decomposition creates heat), to yield new antibiotics (from diverse bacteria populations). Soil is the hero beneath our feet.
The real water reserve is beneath our feet. Soil has the capacity to hold 800% more water than all the rivers put together. But that potential can be realized only when the land has substantial native vegetation in the form of trees, bushes, summer crops, or ground cover that enriches the soil organic content. It is not just about building more dams to store more water. The biggest dam on the planet is the Soil. –Sg #SaveSoil
