BREAKING: In a hilarious, embarrassing, and VERY telling mistake, the official Twitter account of the Republican Party tweets and then, after being ridiculed, deleted its happy Fourth of July message to the American people. Their humiliating mistake became quickly apparent when Twitter users noticed that instead of tweeting the American flag, the Republican Party instead tweeted the flag of Liberia, an African nation that was established as a colony for formerly enslaved Black Americans. For a party that obsessed over “patriotism,” and threw a baby tantrum over the Biden White House celebrating Pride Month by erecting a pride flag, it’s very telling that the official Twitter account of the Republican Party doesn’t even know what the American flag looks like.
