I’m hiring a Chief of Staff at @fw_automation
For 2 years you’ll work with me across the company, then move into a senior role in biz ops or finance
The right person is highly organized, self-motivated, hungry, and comfortable keeping many things moving at once. CoS, banking, or staffer backgrounds are likely fits

It’s genuinely jarring to hear a pro athlete talk like a person and not a hostage reading a statement prepared by the comms department
Yaxel Lenderborg on his NBA debut and guarding Luka: "I got to see what the NBA is like, man. Lot of flopping, lot of foul baiting, lot of praying to the ref. Interesting first game for me... Being in there firsthand, just watching all the whining and complaining, I lost all respect. That was awful"

"Yeah, it was interesting. I got to see what the NBA is like, man. Lot of flopping, lot of foul baiting, lot of praying to the ref. Interesting first game for me, for sure.
I had a lot of respect for him (Luka). You know, just watching. I didn't really watch the NBA much, I just watched highlights. Seeing him, you know, kill people all the time. But then being in there firsthand, just watching all the whining and complaining, I lost all respect, man. Like that was awful.
Like me getting frustrated, it's not about the foul being called, it's about him complaining the entire game. And then you get the foul call, congratulations bro. And then you talk to me like you did something great, bro? Come on, dog. That's just weak. It kinda threw me off for a little while, cause you know, like I said, I had so much respect for him. Gone man, gone.
I was telling him he sucks, he can't score on me. You talking and you can't score on me. I said it the whole game. I said a couple cuss words obviously, you know, that's why I got the technical and all that. But I was letting him know, because he was laughing and talking all this because of that one foul call.
His only bucket on me was a banker from half court. Like I know that it's a team sport. You know, he had 28pts on us as a team. Me, I took my matchup personally. Tried not to get caught on the fouls. Tried my best. I was thinking about playing him with my hands behind my back to see if that worked, probably would've still got a foul call."

If you’re a talented engineer, moving to el Segundo will guarantee you a job.
We’re at the point in the cycle where there are far more job postings than people.

the path of least resistance to fix the coming crisis is to allow pre-retirement americans to accept a social security buyout in exchange for a lump sum deposited into their trump accounts (530As) with which they can buy spcx/oai/ant/etc at some discount. very simple
We’re gonna get Liam Coen’d
Exactly what I reported earlier. On the Will Stein note, I expect Stein to be Texas’s #1 target as well. The school has put out feelers to Lanning, Cristobal, Chesney and Stein. Stein so far is the only one to display real interest in the job. Things could move quickly in Austin.

Denver made and sold the sweater (profitably) for $16.
Whatever company you found making this overpriced knock off (1) doesn’t know how many stars are on Old Glory (2) is gouging their customers.
My rejoinder? REIND is happening.
Re your “4 things,”
1) POTUS is doing the right thing and the Dems quietly agree and aren’t going to roll back (ask me how I know)
2) The Gundo is filled with hungry entrepreneurs and it’s possible they are hungry in ATX, SF, and elsewhere (though I can’t speak to that)
3) The nice thing about tarriffs against the totalitarian mercantile states like Communist China is that we’re paying people great wages and equity now
4) and technology including clean coal means we don’t need to pollute to do it.
In short: we are going to win.
Reindustrialization isn’t buying a $320 made in the USA sweater that can be bought for less than $10 in multiple other countries.
It’s not about getting a billion dollar valuation on your startup that has never built a real product that has a multi-million dollar contract from a government that spent 2 trillion more than it took in this year.
It’s not about looking cool** and it’s not about getting asset-price rich on mystery money.
Reindustrialization is about 4 things.
Until we have those 4, it ain’t going to happen.
Let me tell you a short story.
We had a supplier in China with a coal boiler.
The coal boiler belched dark soot into the air.
One day the government came in and said “you can’t use your coal boiler anymore. Replace it with a natural gas one; the coal is dirtying up the air.”
The factory would have to shut down for months.
No money for the boss.
No work for the employees.
And no orders for me.
“How long will the orders be delayed?”
“They won’t.”
“And how will you do that?”
“Don’t worry about it.”
The orders shipped on time.
How?
The factory switched to working nights.
The black smoke from the coal boiler couldn’t be seen in the dark night sky.
At the same time they installed a new natural gas boiler during the day.
By the way, this boiler was bigger than two semi trailer trucks side by side, literally it is beyond most people’s comprehension.
And that’s the point.
Reindustrialization is beyond peoples’ comprehension in America.
1. You need to have a government that does the right thing
2. You need to have factory ownership that is hungry for business
3. You need to have workers who are willing to make big sacrifices
4. And then everyone around them needs to be able tolerate the black smoke from the coal boiler
We don’t have any of these things today.
Will that change?
Maybe, but overpriced sweaters and billion dollar valuations on vaporware is not how we’re going to get there.

My favorite part of this article is one of the visiting scholars pointing out that by Olah’s logic he is by far the worst slaver in history and he must immediately give up this abhorrent and immensely lucrative project, which anthropic people ignored.
“The American culture is we start from scratch, and we beat you”
Alan Neuhauser, Axios is asking this panel if the American dynamism / reindustrialize crew will be able to build things fast enough.
What say you @tfeldmann, @DenverRayburn, @ADoricko, @Willob, @isaiah_p_taylor, @jakobdiepen

Poseidon Aerospace has expanded into our new 110,000 sqft HQ in Alameda, California!
Our new facility is at Alameda Naval Air Station, a former Navy hangar with an incredible history of building and supporting American aviation. We're bringing aerospace manufacturing back to it.
This facility will become the home of Poseidon’s production and manufacturing operations. Over the next few years, a lot of airplanes are going to come out of these doors.
