This is what we built the #NuclearEnergy Launch Pad for. @ENERGY and @NRICnuclear selected 12 developers and 13 projects spanning advanced reactors and #NucleaFuel technologies. @INL, that means opening up decades of operational experience, world-class infrastructure (including a site of more than 2,000 acres), technical expertise, and streamlined regulatory support to help developers move from design to deployment safely and efficiently. Congratulations to @AntaresNuclear , Atlas Atomics, @DeployableE , Forge Atomics, Hexium, @LightbridgeCorp , @NusanoInc, @oklo, Raven-Flint Nuclear, Scaled Atomics, Sublime Nuclear, and @valaratomics. I'm ready to see these projects become reality. Let's get to work. #EnergyDominance #AdvancedNuclear
BREAKING: @NRICnuclear & @GovNuclear selected 12 companies to join the latest round of the Nuclear Energy Launch Pad program @INL, an initiative to accelerate advanced #nuclear tech from concept to commercial deployment. Congrats to the companies! brnw.ch/21x5aXh

Almost a year ago, I was driving through the Idaho desert near INL when it finally clicked. America is attempting to do something never done before: restart an entire industry. For more than thirty years, we largely stopped building nuclear reactors. But, while most people weren't paying attention, a new generation quietly prepared for the day that might change. Then came May 2025. President Trump signed four executive orders designed to accelerate American nuclear. One of them set an extraordinary goal for three advanced reactor companies to go critical by July 4, 2026. Almost overnight, what had been simmering became a race. I found myself with a front-row seat. I realized I had something few people have… access. And with that access came a responsibility to document this story as it unfolds. Over the past eight months, our documentary crew has gone inside laboratories, construction sites, control rooms, government offices, and startup headquarters. We watched brilliant people wrestle with impossible engineering problems, politics, tight deadlines and tons of uncertainty. At first I thought we were making a documentary about nuclear, but I was wrong. Nuclear is just the lens. The real story is something much bigger. It's about whether America can still build big things. It's about people willing to devote years of their lives to projects they might never see through. Today, we're releasing a sneak peek into what will become The Last Renaissance. This is where it begins. Whether this nuclear renaissance succeeds or fails, historians will look back on this moment. Over the coming months and years, we'll continue giving you glimpses from inside this journey, bringing you along as one of the most ambitious industrial revivals in modern American history unfolds in real time. And when it all comes together, it will become a feature-length documentary. For now, we're still in it. History almost never feels historic while you're living through it. This time, we're making sure no side of the story goes untold.
President Donald J. Trump is reigniting America’s nuclear power production. 🇺🇸 @SecretaryWright launched a pilot for advanced reactors with a mission to start at least three safely by July 4th. Today, POTUS announced four companies delivered, marking a HUGE SUCCESS. ✅

⚡⚡This summer's record-breaking nuclear reactor criticalities have one thing in common: Texas. In the span of one month, four different advanced nuclear reactor designs went critical in the U.S., a feat no other country has matched. And almost every single one ties back to Texas…let’s take a look: @AntaresNuclear, Mark-0 (June 4): The company behind the first privately developed non-light-water reactor to go critical in the U.S. in over four decades also announced earlier this year that it would be developing a nuclear microreactor at Joint Base San Antonio. @DeployableE, Unity (July 1): The company behind the reactor that officially hit President Trump's three-reactor goal is headquartered in Houston. @AaloAtomics, Aalo-X (July 4): The company behind the fourth reactor to go critical, one better than the White House's target, is headquartered in Austin. And the other company to have a reactor reach criticality before the July 4 deadline - @valaratomics and its Ward 250 microreactor - might be thinking, "I wasn't born in Texas, but I got here as fast as I could..." The second Atomic Age isn’t just happening in America…it’s being led by Texas. #NuclearTexas #Nuclear #TimetoBuild

A $22.5 B order pipleline is kind of a big deal, especially for 2-year old company whose head count last week was less than 20. Achieving a self sustaining chain reaction for their early test/demo unit just 150 days after signing a DOE OTA as part of the Nuclear Energy Launch Pad must have contributed to the company's credibility. @DeployableE
Power availability has become one of the biggest constraints on digital and industrial infrastructure. That's why we're partnering with @gridmarket to bring the Unity Nuclear Battery to data centers, hyperscalers, and other energy-intensive customers across the US.

Mind blowing that @DeployableE, a two year old company, came out of nowhere and went critical before the July 4th deadline. All of that with only *twelve* employees! Extremely impressive.
This special 250th Independence Day, we're celebrating our team & a major milestone. To mark the occasion our team signed the reactor vessel, arranging our signatures into the shape of the American flag. Every breakthrough is powered by the people behind it. Happy 4th of July🇺🇸

In the last five days I witnessed things thought impossible just a year ago. A two year old company with only twelve employees turned on a tiny, portable reactor for the first time. A squad of twenty-something year olds became the first startup in history to generate nuclear electricity and power a chip. From DC, to the desert of Idaho to the Utah plateau, the indomitable American spirit made itself present. It manifested in ambitious disruptors who looked at the doubters right in the face and said: just watch me. What I love the most about the American nuclear renaissance is that it’s about way more than nuclear. It’s about more than electricity, or climate change or data centers. It’s fundamentally about reconnecting with that raw, defiant American spirit. With the radical optimist view that America can and will. We build stuff. We dream bigger than everyone else. We do the impossible. 🇺🇸 Happy 250th birthday to the best country on Earth 🇺🇸
