I bet Mark Penn's polling for Israel the past few years is what's driving the extremely bigoted behavior of both major parties now. They found that no messaging improved opinion of Israel, EXCEPT whipping up anti-Muslim bigotry. That's why they're doing it.

I'll give him credit for the 2015 Iran nuclear deal, which a lot of his "progressive allies" like Schumer tried to undermine at the time and were glad to see Trump abrogate it two years later. Grading on a curve, "war with Iran would be bad" didn't take genius to figure out.

Now, he's apparently making state supreme court justices humiliate themselves by competing with one another to go on said trips. "Whoever's going to go is going to have to play Rock, Paper, Scissors to see who wins," he says he told the justices. Good review of a book I won't bother reading. A recurring theme: Gladwell keeps coming up with exciting, counterintuitive takes on any number of topics because he's an incredibly sloppy and lazy researcher if not deliberately dishonest. Take his slop with a truckload of salt.
