First of all, I want to express how deeply ashamed I feel about the actions of this Brazilian woman. Such deep-rooted hatred does not represent the Brazilian people. It is the attitude of a small group of extremists within the Brazilian left.
I followed Charlie Kirk's work, and what happened to him was truly tragic. But when I see someone using such a horrific act of violence as an opportunity to make a joke, I am genuinely appalled by how low a person can sink.
Brazil is going through very difficult times. Back in 2018, President Jair Bolsonaro was himself the victim of an assassination attempt carried out by a left-wing activist who was affiliated with a left-wing political party.
Our presidential candidate, Flávio Bolsonaro, a sitting member of Brazil's Federal Senate, has also received thousands of threats. He has even had to wear a bulletproof vest throughout his entire campaign for his own protection.
I sincerely hope that U.S. authorities will take a closer look at this individual's immigration status, as well as that of her family. I also hope that the university and the American people, in general, will take a stand. There should be no place in our society for people who openly promote or celebrate this kind of hatred.
We must put an end to this culture of hate. People cannot be allowed to spread this kind of rhetoric without being held accountable.
Brazil is going through difficult times, but this woman does not represent our people. I am deeply ashamed, and I sincerely apologize.
At @UTSA for Pick Up the Mic, a student read a poem celebrating the assassination of Charlie Kirk with such glee, then told me I was brave to be out here without my neck covered.
I told her I’d pray for her.

Isabela Casahuga-Lemgruber, filha da corretora de imóveis Paula Lemgruber Casahuga (nascida no Rio de Janeiro) e do consultor espanhol Guillem Casahuga (parceiro da Arthur D. Little), estuda Relações Internacionais e Diplomacia na University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA, turma de 2030) e formou-se na St. Agnes Academy.
Em 27 de outubro, durante o evento “Pick Up the Mic” do Turning Point USA do ativista conservador Christian Collins, apresentou-se como “Pamper Baby”, declarou ter tomado Plan B (pílula do dia seguinte) e ser imigrante, e leu um poema parodiando “’Twas the Night Before Christmas” que zombava do assassinato de Charlie Kirk (baleado no pescoço em setembro de 2025 por um extremista da esquerda), referindo-se ao “Kirkiversary” e a “a shot to the neck”.
Depois do poema, convidou as pessoas para um evento chamado “Squirt for Kirk” e disse a Christian Collins que ele era “corajoso” por estar ali sem proteção ou sem um “colar de proteção” (neck brace).
O vídeo viralizou, gerando forte repercussão negativa. A UTSA afirmou que os comentários não refletem seus valores, abriu investigação interna, declarou que não tolerará incitação ou ameaça de violência e que o caso será tratado conforme a lei.
O caso já é debatido pelo U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), o Serviço de Imigração e Controle de Alfândegas dos EUA, vinculado ao Departamento de Segurança Interna (DHS), que aguarda apenas a formalização da universidade no sistema SEVP/SEVIS.
Universidades americanas que aceitam estudantes internacionais são obrigadas por lei federal a usar o SEVP/SEVIS. Se um estudante estrangeiro comete infração de status (como abandonar disciplinas, trabalhar sem autorização ou ser expulso), a própria universidade deve reportar a alteração no sistema.

A stark reminder that the culture has drastically shifted since 2020-2024.
Six years ago, companies were vilified if they didn’t put rainbow flags in their profiles and bend the knee to BLM.
Now they are publicly standing up for downtrodden hard-working American citizens.
