AIPAC accounts for roughly 0.07% of registered federal lobbying and well under 1% of total election spending. In fact its 191st on the list. Because its related to Jews it gets 100% of the attention.
A striking stat re AIPAC performance in the midterms. In 2022, almost 70% of its funds went into races where it got the desired result. In 2024, it was 87%. In 2026, that figure is 34%. responsiblestatecraft.org/ai…

i’m so fucking tired of watching politicians talk about superintelligence like it’s some consumer product they can just recall from the market. we’re talking about the future of scientific discovery itself. the stakes are incomprehensibly bigger than the political discourse surrounding them.

I actually feel bad for Elon, even though I deeply disagree with him on some things. Imagine trying to build a car company in California in the mid-2000s, when American manufacturing is being completely offshored and almost all of Wall Street thinks you’re a joke and is rooting for your failure, while the entire oil and gas industry is using all their power and leverage to make you fail. But against all odds, you actually pull it off. You build cars that make electric vehicles desirable to millions of people, create an enormous number of quality American jobs, and force the global car industry to play catch up and move away from oil and gas. You would think California would be proud of you and the team. Instead you find yourself having to fight a completely corrupt and incompetent left government impeding all your efforts while you sleep at the factory night after night to avoid collapse. At some point, you would go to the right too. And because of your politics, it becomes a justification for people to celebrate your companies failing in their personal ideological fight with you. Even threats against you become something people explain away and use mental gymnastics to justify. Meanwhile, people like Scott Galloway and Bernie Sanders who have made absolutely nobody better off other than themselves get to lecture you about your value to society and even call for your murder without grounds from their vacation home while you're on 20 hour benders in your factories trying to get things built for all of society. If this were me I would lose my mind. Criticize his opinions. I do sometimes, especially on Ukraine. But the pleasure people take in wanting to destroy everything he’s built is hideous and frankly suicidal for the masses, especially coming from people who insist they care about workers, the climate, and civilization as a whole. As you try to make good things for society you are confronted with a world that worships people who care only about the perception of being good people, while they actually fight against your tangible efforts of making improvements for humanity. I don't think almost anyone would have made it out of that and if they did, they would probably not come away feeling so warm towards the left either. So I am rooting for Elon to succeed, and for humanity.
I believe Elon is a good person

Everyone wants to weigh in with their Most Astute Take™ on the midterms. But no one wants to even factor in the glaringly obvious: the US has been under the most sustained information attack by foreign states in decades, if not generations. Foreign adversaries have learned to weaponize the very protections and safeguards – First Amendment, Section 230, privacy laws – that make discourse online possible. They use our shield as their weapon. These actors have learned that they don't need to "hack Facebook" — as the press claimed Russia did in 2016. (In fact, that had no measurable impact.) They found that they don't need to infiltrate voting systems. Instead, they have learned to focus on seeding poisonous narratives into virtually every open information system online. It's not only effective, but it's remarkably efficient. The influence happens in various ways: 1. Bot manipulation – Accounts/shows that see enormous engagement surges on particular issues are motivated to double down on the messaging that the bot swarms respond to. 2. Direct incentives – Money and influence. This comes in the form of corporate financing, advertising deals materially larger than their market value. (Did Hasan Piker go to China just for kicks?) 3. Information poisoning – Bringing fringe narratives into the mainstream by seeding them into open, trusted platforms (e.g. Wikipedia). 4. Discourse radicalization – Actors tied to foreign adversarial states pull the discourse further to the fringe. There is no accountability mechanism, so these actors are free to not just say, but endlessly repeat, the most extreme, toxic, and false claims. 5. Network building – As one example: the Singham Network can build, fund, and run ideological networks with alarming success rates. These are broad categories; they break down into thousands of smaller tactics. Further, they innovate. Foreign adversaries have an ability to test and experiment, since state budgets are virtually unlimited relative to the cost. Even more damagingly, there is almost no mainstream journalistic reporting on, or investigation into, malign influence by foreign actors in information spaces. Can we name a single public investigation into information operations by US adversaries like China in recent months? (It's as if, after a decade of "Russia, Russia, Russia," the press simply forgot this is a thing.) Even in the rare cases where we catch and expose these activities, there is almost never consequences: Example 1 - Recall the right-wing influencer taking $10m per year from the Russian government, whose posts seemed design to sowed division? Far from consequences, this individual was entirely let off the hook and even invited back into the country. Example 2 – Al Jazeera's digital network, AJ+, was ordered by DOJ to register as a foreign agent – and simply ignored the order. Were they shut down? Did their operation even slow down? Example 3 – Chinese operatives work in plain site on social platforms, disclosing their affiliations while dragging the discourse into the anti-American fringe. Example 4 – The CCP-linked Singham Network, which funds groups like Code Pink, was exposed in recent months and still functions seamlessly. Example 5 – Influencers and podcasters traveled to Cuba, apparently coordinating with the Cuban government, and are caught doing so. Have any one of them ceased or even decreased their activities? WHAT REALLY MATTERS This is the core imbalance: autocratic states running these operations have no – literally zero – checks on their capabilities: + They face no domestic journalistic investigation. + There is no Oversight Committee demanding answers. + There is no FOIA process to produce information. + There is no consequence in rare cases of exposure. Total freedom to maneuver on the information battlefield. We think, naively, that because these platforms are owned by US companies and regulated by American bodies that they are "ours." Nothing could be further from the truth.

Why is Pakistan’s legitimacy never questioned but Israel’s is? They were created around the same time under the same circumstances. 7,000,000 Hindus were displaced. The “Nakhba” was 700,000 but Palestinians won’t shut up about it.

And this is just the tip of the iceberg! TEXAS REPORT REVEALS 2.9 MILLION NEW VOTER REGISTRATIONS WITHOUT PROOF OF CITIZENSHIP Austin, TX - November 5, 2026 An Official Election Administration and Voting Comprehensive Report buried all the way on page 193 of the document shows Texas processed 2,900,357 new valid voter registrations between 2022 and 2024 without proof of citizenship. Documented proof of citizenship like birth certificate, passport and naturalization papers is not required at the time of voter registration in Texas. This loophole allowed millions of names onto the rolls with no verification that the applicants were eligible citizens.

One of the glaring flaws in our system: nobody knows what they’re voting for. Prop 38 reads to everyone as “should we cure cancer”. Therefore if you vote yes, you are good. If you vote no, you are evil. The reality is everyone just voted to give 3 guys 4 billion dollars.
Some dude in California running a 3-person company got voters to give him $4.2 billion by authoring a ballot measure, which passed

Pundits on both sides: “Voters punished Trump for his broken promises, his memecoin, ICE, his authoritarian tendencies, his betrayal of MAGA’s ideals, his erosion of democratic norms, and his rejection of the rules-based international order.” Voters: “Too expensive to drive car to burger.”
Americans: angry because it's expensive to fill up the car to drive to the burger place. Europeans: Is this a rebuke of America First? Steadfast support for Ukraine? The end of the Iran war and of unconditional support for Netanyahu?

Women are 5x more likely than men to exhibit in-group bias (meaning that women are substantially more likely to automatically prefer another woman for things like job hiring, political candidates, etc.). Black people are also more likely than white people to exhibit explicit in-group preference (favoring other black people over white people in the situations listed above). This even extends to things like jury decisions. Female jurors and black jurors are more likely to return a not-guilty verdict when the defendant is a member of their own group, while white men do not show the same level of in-group bias. White men are the least tribalistic and the least likely of these groups to make decisions based on race or sex, yet they have become the most vilified in our society.
