So it begins... I rarely give this much conviction to anything let alone disclose this publically. This maybe your one shot to get in on this sector at or near the ground floor. I do believe it will be the last time I say to a client that you have time on your side.

Multi-manager Walleye Capital and Glenn Dubin's Engineers Gate are shutting their L/S equities business.
Heard that Walleye, $17B AUM, and Engineers Gate, $23B AUM, are both shutting down their equity pods "Factors all going the wrong way today = liquidations are happening"

$SPY Getting confirmation entire Walleye L/S unit gone as of 9am. $17Bn levered an estimated 5x, so close to $90bn liquidated. I would imagine there may be some margin calls and knock on effects of this as well, given correlations across many of these levered funds.
Rumors a large MM, possibly Walleye, is liquidating. Anyone have details there?

Gonna RT this as well. We are seeing capitulation. There will be leveraged funds getting dusted. Save your cash. Once it gets REALLY bad, buy that fucking dip.
Said recently to my MoMo students we may see capitulation sooner than expected. If we can’t lift and flush out instead, we may see it by this weekend. Overreaction? Sure. But at some point when will these analysts realize that short term momentum traders are the majority right now?

Today has a chance to be only the 4th time in history that VIX jumped at least 10.00+ pts on a day after closing under 20. The previous events: Dec 18, 2024 Nov 26, 2021 Feb 5, 2018

Those that work with me know what I say. Adapt or die. It used to be every few years. These days, it’s literally days. Quant trading/HFT + the most retail trading participation is the reason. No need to time the markets. Just ride the waves 🌊 Say my @ (not being cocky), and you will know the truth
Traders love sticking to the playbook that has worked most often. The problem is the game sometimes changes and we refuse to see it. We keep doing what used to work long after it stops. Those who adapt thrive. The rest get left behind.

TX sweeping blue is terrible for AI buildout and $TSLA / $SPCX is screwed. I wonder how much longer it’s going to remain a tax haven for them? Also basically killing their future expansion plans.

👀 $SPCX x $QCOM news could help bump it today but ugly price action so far in $TSLA. Set to open UNDER their 200 SMA on daily.

Texas may go all blue, which could mean $SPCX gets F'd. $TSLA as well. Tomorrow will be crazy if we open at these levels.

$AMD ripped and markets are dumping on early election results. Tomorrow may be a shitshow. I was quoted on @OptionsAction by the man @OJRenick on Solar. $ENPH breakout level is $31 targeting $33 then $35🎯 I have my doubts but with a 23% short float and high demand, could get there TOMORROW if the sector booms.

$MRVL TO ACQUIRE $LITE IN $115B ALL-STOCK DEAL Marvell has agreed to acquire Lumentum in an all-stock transaction valued at approximately $115B in enterprise value, combining two major suppliers of AI infrastructure and optical networking technology. Under the agreement: • Lumentum shareholders will receive 4.5 Marvell shares for each LITE share, implying roughly $1,132 per share. • The offer represents a 23.9% premium to unaffected closing prices on October 28. • Marvell shareholders will own approximately 67% of the combined company, with Lumentum shareholders holding 33%. The deal brings together Marvell's custom AI chips, networking switches and interconnect technology with Lumentum's lasers, optical transceivers and optical circuit switching capabilities. The bigger opportunity is the growing shift from copper to optical connectivity as AI data centers require faster data transfer, greater bandwidth and improved power efficiency. Marvell says the combination could expand its addressable market to $550B, allowing it to offer more integrated connectivity solutions across AI data centers and within advanced chip packages. The companies also expect: • More than $1B in annual run-rate cost synergies. • Improved long-term revenue growth and profit margins. • Accretion to Marvell's adjusted EPS in the first year after closing. Matt Murphy will remain CEO of the combined company, with the transaction expected to close in H1 2028, subject to shareholder and regulatory approvals. Separately, Marvell reaffirmed the midpoint of its fiscal Q3 revenue guidance while narrowing the expected range to ±2% from ±5%.

Reddit's earnings call has exposed the new reality for thousands of companies. "AI mode does not drive traffic. Not for us and not to anybody as far as I know. It used to be a traffic driver. Now it's not." - Reddit CEO. The reality is that AI is fundamentally changing the way that humans access the internet. Just 24 hours prior to this statement, Google's stock erased -$480 billion on the same issue: AI is disrupting the traditional search model. For decades, the internet operated on a simple model. Search engines directed users to websites, and those websites monetized the traffic. AI is destroying this business model, and it's happening at an accelerating pace. The traditional model of internet traffic is rapidly becoming outdated. The internet has entered a new era.
