With the owners' new proposal, it's time to run update my net increase/decrease analysis for player salaries.
It assumes a 4% increase in salary year over year to match historical trends and that luxury tax penalty payments to players go away.
Net -$457 million to players
Because it doesn’t. Every team as it is gets about 120-150 million from the league without considering the fact of their 52% of local revenue. Every owner can spend more without a cap or a rev share change but they don’t want to.

MLB Owners are literally telling you they can spend more money they just choose not to! Please don’t fall for the Dodgers are ruining the game we need a cap bullshit. Make luxury tax penalties more strict, fix deferral bullshit
Or hear me out. 12 teams raise payrolls to said amount you admitted they can run and BOOM 636M payroll increase!
LETS GO
"Dodge is returning to the NASCAR Cup Series in 2027, a year earlier than initially expected. The Stellantis-owned Dodge brand announced its return at the SEMA Show in Las Vegas on Monday." - @AP

Buddy cares about preparation more then results.
#Colts HC Shane Steichen, asked if Daniel Jones is held to a softer standard:
“It goes back to the preparation and the command he has of the offense. …”
“You want to have accountability, but like I said, I feel in this situation that he gives us the best chance to win.”
#Colts HC Shane Steichen said Daniel Jones will remain the team's starting QB for Week 9 vs. the Dallas Cowboys.
Owners openly admit during negotiations they can spend 150 mil on payroll yet this is the BS they try to spin us on why they need a cap
Drew Rasmussen is "at the top of the list" when it comes to the biggest trade candidates this offseason, per @JeffPassan
Rasmussen's $20M salary would push the Rays' payroll above their 2026 level without making another move
(espn.com/mlb/story/_/id/5032…)
Then you don’t trade him
"I don't think the Colts would get a one if they traded Jonathan Taylor..
There's definitely interested teams in Jonathan Taylor but will the Colts be willing to make that move" ~ @AdamSchefter #PMSLive
Well I would of never guessed
Two things from NASCAR:
1. They looked at the SMT data and Stenhouse, Byron and Custer were all wide open from Turn 3 to the end of the race (none of them lifted to let Larson win, in other words)
2. They say Larson's left-side tires were on the yellow line but never below the yellow line. So they reviewed that and say it's legal.
All the homies have hated Plaschke for years
Bill Plaschke says the Dodgers need to seriously consider trading Shohei Ohtani if he continues to insist on pitching
“This past season offered unassailable proof that Shohei Ohtani can no longer serve as both a full-time hitter and full-time pitcher. The Dodgers have no choice but to act on this truth and make a decision that is not only best for this team, but the long-term future of the organization. They need to pull him off the pitching mound permanently. And if he insists on continuing this detrimental charade, they need to seriously consider trading him.”

Color me shocked
The coming labor Armageddon is much more about the owners’ desire to raise their franchise values than it is about competitive balance, per @Ken_Rosenthal
