Bishop John Keenan, Bishop of Paisley and President of the Bishopsโ Conference of Scotland, has announced that he is stepping back from his daily duties until further notice, following medical advice.
Bishop Keenan has been undergoing medical investigations and will require further tests and examinations over the coming weeks.
During this time, Vicar General Monsignor Joe Burke will oversee the day-to-day running of the Diocese of Paisley.
Bishop Keenan hopes to provide a further update once these investigations are concluded and is grateful for your prayers at this time.

Today I was privileged to attend the final Mass of @MarkElliottSmi1 as Rector of the Ordinariate Church in Warwick Street. The service was magnificent, and included a glorious new hymn composed by Fr Mark. He will be much missed as he moves on to new ministry but promises that he wonโt be leaving X! It was good to see Bishop Waller in the sanctuary and hear his tribute to Fr Mark. Really it is high time that the Diocese of Westminster relinquished their ownership of this church and let the Ordinariate take full possession of it.

Marie-Garance, the girl Pope Leo XIV blessed during his visit to France, was once a ward of the state before being adopted by a Catholic family. Her parents already had six biological children when they opened their home to three more children with disabilities, including Marie-Garance, who lives with profound multiple disabilities.

What a privilege it's been to be Parish Priest of Warwick Street.
Today, after over thirteen years in this lovely church and lovelier people, and a wonderful farewell Mass, I give thanks for this time, as I move to a gentler pace of life.

Friends, Iโm on my way to Rome today, where I was invited to ordain the 2026 diaconate class of the North American College and give an address to the Embassy of the United States to the Holy See. I had an opportunity to request a meeting with Pope Leo XIV in order to discuss the work of my diocese and to present to him a copy of Word on Fireโs Liturgy of the Hours. He graciously accepted my request, and Iโm excited to meet with him soon. Before returning, I will make a pilgrimage to the tomb of Don Dolindo Ruotolo, Servant of God and author of the Surrender Novena, in Naples. Pray for us on our journey.

A Catholic priest told Le Parisien that he spent between two and a half and three hours hearing confessions on the streets of Paris during Pope Leo XIVโs visit.
