A friend of mine just confirmed his company is bribing employees with FREE tickets AND a full paid day off just to get bodies into State Farm Arena for Game 6 this Thursday.
But here is the kicker: you only get the free perk if you contractually promise to stay for at least three quarters so the cameras can clip a "packed house."
The league created a scheduling disaster, and now multi-million dollar corporate write-offs are being used as a shield to hide the fact that nobody is paying real money to skip work for this midday slot.
This isn't grass-roots growth; it's a completely subsidized, top-down operation to manufacture a narrative that doesn't exist.

If it was really about someone putting their hands on him, why did he look to see WHO it was before reacting?
Here’s my question: If that had been the head coach putting his hands on him, would he have responded the same way?
Because if the issue is simply being touched, WHO does it shouldn’t matter. Right?

To everyone screaming “free speech” under my national anthem post… you’re literally mad at me for exercising MY free speech.
I didn’t say anyone should be arrested. I said it was disgraceful.
Freedom of speech doesn’t mean freedom from criticism.
Wild concept, I know 🤯

Left-wing writer admits Sophie Cunningham is beloved by her teammates and quotes the Fever GM praising her locker-room value. Then argues she needs to go.
So who is she actually a problem for? Her teammates, or sports media who don’t like her politics? nytimes.com/athletic/7663983…
Doc Gray retweeted
You can disagree with Sophie. You can criticize her. But suggesting she should lose her place because of who she attracts is a very different argument and one we should be extremely careful normalizing
That’s a dangerous road. You don’t get to decide who deserves a platform based on the politics of their audience. That’s how tribalism replaces freedoms and rights… YOUR people are acceptable, THEIR people are a problem.
.
From @TheAthletic: If the Indiana Fever ever wants to go back to being a basketball team, Sophie Cunningham has to go, our columnist writes. "Cunningham is too combustible, her takes too turbulent to be paired with Caitlin Clark." nyti.ms/4eiBPJ0

No matter how critical I’ve been of Cathy Engelbert’s repeated & erroneous attempts to favorably compare Angel Reese to Caitlin Clark’s drawing power, this is a surprise: Curtains up because only 9,745 came to NY-ATL playoff. But two Clark regular-season games? 17,044 both times.

“Like grow up, what are we doing? We ask all these things and then once people come out and support us, we get mad and then its inappropriate” -- Sophie on the pointing incident with the Fever fan in Game 2 🚨🚨🚨NEW EP JUST DROPPED EVERYWHERE 🚨🚨🚨🚨

🇺🇸 **SOMETIMES YOU MEET PEOPLE WHO REMIND YOU WHY YOU STARTED SOMETHING IN THE FIRST PLACE.**
I want to take a moment to recognize someone I've developed a tremendous amount of respect for over the past several months.
Many of you know Doc Gray. What you may not know is that he's been quietly reaching out, offering encouragement, sharing ideas, and supporting the work we're doing at Sports Patriot.
And now he's taking his commitment to another level.
**DOC IS PURSUING DOCTORAL RESEARCH INTO THE VERY INSTITUTIONAL AND MEDIA CULTURE WE'VE BEEN QUESTIONING ALL SEASON.**
His work in industrial-organizational psychology examines perceptions of media bias, organizational identity, and the cultural narratives surrounding Caitlin Clark and the WNBA.
Think about the significance of that.
For months, we've watched passionate basketball fans raise serious questions about the league, its leadership, its media coverage, and the treatment of its athletes.
Some have responded with outrage. Others have walked away from the sport entirely.
But Doc has chosen another path.
**HE'S GOING TO STUDY IT.**
He's committing himself to the difficult, time-consuming process of academic research, examining the literature, gathering evidence, challenging assumptions, and attempting to better understand the forces shaping the culture surrounding professional women's basketball.
And I have enormous respect for that.
Because the most powerful response to questionable institutional behavior is often neither anger nor outrage.
**IT'S EVIDENCE.**
Real research requires intellectual honesty. It demands that we question our own beliefs just as rigorously as we question those of others. And sometimes the greatest discoveries are the ones we never expected to make.
I genuinely hope Doc's work follows the evidence wherever it leads.
But there's something else I want to say.
One of the greatest rewards of building Sports Patriot has been discovering people like Doc.
People who love basketball, believe in fairness, value independent thought, and are willing to contribute their own knowledge and talents toward improving the sport.
**THAT IS THE COMMUNITY I WANT US TO BUILD.**
A community where thoughtful disagreement is welcome, evidence carries more weight than popularity, and people are encouraged to ask difficult questions without fear of being shouted down.
Doc, you've been incredibly generous with your encouragement, your time, and your friendship. I want you to know how much I appreciate it.
And I want everyone here to know that **Sports Patriot is proud to support your research journey.**
To those who have credible articles, documented examples, relevant research, or other useful information, I encourage you to follow Doc and consider contributing.
We all have something different to offer.
Some of us coach. Some write. Some analyze statistics. Some investigate. Some simply ask the question nobody else wants to ask.
And occasionally, someone like Doc comes along who is willing to turn those questions into years of serious academic work.
**THAT DESERVES OUR RESPECT AND OUR SUPPORT.**
Thank you, Doc. I'm genuinely looking forward to seeing where your research takes you.
**OUR SEASON NEVER ENDS.** 🇺🇸🏀

Karina did nothing wrong with this Converse ad.
If you looked at this and saw a KKK ad, you're psychotic and need to be checked into a mental asylum.

May we never forget this day, America. I pray for the people who died, the families and friends affected by this horrible tragedy, and for our nation to be united. Extend grace and spread a little more love to someone today❤️
"I can hear you. The rest of the world hears you. And the people who knocked these buildings down will hear all of us soon."
25 years ago, President George W. Bush gave his famous "I can hear you" speech at Ground Zero, just three days after the 9/11 terrorist attacks.
With one arm around retired FDNY firefighter Bob Beckwith and a bullhorn in the other, Bush thanked the rescue and recovery workers.
"America today is on bended knee in prayer for the people whose lives were lost here, for the workers who work here, for the families who mourn."
"This nation stands with the good people of New York City, and New Jersey, and Connecticut, as we mourn the loss of thousands of our citizens."

It's amazing that a person can be so confidently incorrect like this and not feel any embarrassment. She will still be invited on cable news to share her "expertise."
This is an absurdly idiotic take. If slavery made the US into an economic superpower, then why isn't the south richer than the north?
America experienced its most robust economic growth after the abolition of slavery. Industrialization, manufacturing, railroads, technological innovation, migration from Europe, and free labor markets accelerated the US to the top of the global economic hierarchy.
Slavery arguably stunted the economic growth of the south due to underinvestment in human capital, weaker incentives to invest in education and public infrastructure. Slavery was not only a moral atrocity it was also a terrible economic system which only served to enrich the small wealthy slave-owning class.
