How do we get all those people who still have (he/him) or (she/her) in their emails signatures and LinkedIn profiles to realise the error of their ways and desist from looking ridiculous?

Really important article from the Indy here
For decades, Dr Az Hakeem treated people with gender dysphoria, but gave up when a teenage patient accused him of practising conversion therapy. Now, he fears misguided legislation would leave professionals like him facing years in prison

🇬🇧 After 25 years treating patients suffering from gender-related distress, psychotherapist @Doctor_Az_ says he has largely abandoned the field over fears of being accused of conversion therapy. Now he is warning that Labour’s proposed Conversion Practices Bill will only make matters worse.
“Questioning is at the very heart of psychotherapy. Yet I believe we are training a generation of doctors who believe that asking a patient to explain their feelings might somehow be forbidden.”

‘If a severely depressed person believes they're better off dead, we don't agree with them. If someone with anorexia believes they need to lose more weight, we don't encourage them to starve themselves.
‘Why should gender dysphoria be the one area where we're afraid to ask questions?’ @Doctor_Az_

Very proud to be part of the documentary “Who Decides?”
But I must say: the heart & soul of the film is a woman named Tess Hackett, who lost her daughter to transgender ideology. Hers is one of the most heartbreaking stories I have heard in this madness and a must listen. I’d go through the stupidest court case of all time 1000 times rather than go through losing a child to this evil ideology. 💔

This is a hopeful development. After years of pushing gender ideology, someone at the Independent has developed a conscience.

1/ We're understandably focused on draft conversion legislation in the UK
But can I encourage everyone here interested in that debate to watch the Australian long form documentary "who decides"
It's a dire warning of trans madness and Oz needs our help

"If clinicians decide that treating patients with gender dysphoria is simply too risky, those patients will be denied access to the very psychological support they may desperately need."
Our Patron, Dr Az Hakeem, tells the Independent why therapists are scared to treat patients with gender dysphoria, and how the Conversion Practices Bill would make this even worse.

Great article in the Independent by Dr Az Hakeem explaining the risks of the conversion practices bill.
"The government insists its legislation is intended to tackle serious abuse, not ordinary conversations or legitimate healthcare. But evidence heard by the parliamentary committee scrutinising the Bill last week only reinforced my fears that it will make any conversation, professional or pastoral, around someone's gender more difficult – and potentially criminal."

Danny Tommo was remanded in custody on the 25th September for popping an empty migrant boat
His trial has now been set for the 1st June 2027
That will be 249 days in prison without trial
He has been found guilty of no crimes
This is not justice
It's political persecution

Our position is unequivocal.
LGBT+ Conservatives DOES NOT SUPPORT the Conversion Practice’s Bill.
Our red lines have not been met. This Bill goes too far. Withdraw it in full.

1/ This is an unserious article from Equalities Minister Simon Lightwood MP. It is avowedly party political, it misrepresents the draft bill and it offers assurances around family life and religion that are unambiguously false. It is unworthy of a minister. I'll explain why:

There are so many reasons why the draft Conversion Practices Bill must never become law. @Jebadoo2 and @HJoyceGender explained many of them in parliament yesterday.
1. It places parents who are putting their child’s interests first in real danger of prosecution. If a girl is so furious and distressed by her parents’ refusal to buy binders or testosterone that she feels their behaviour is abusive and is ruining her life, the parents could have their child taken from them and/or be prosecuted.
2. It is an attack on gay and lesbian teens, who are most likely (along with those on the autism spectrum) to be persuaded by peers or online influencers that they need to change their bodies. That is the actual gay conversion therapy that is going on right now. This Bill would make it worse.
3. It would allow activist individuals and organizations to bring private prosecutions against gender-critical individual organizations. LGB Alliance has already had to defend its existence in court once. This Bill would make all gender-critical organizations vulnerable to vexatious litigation. This would not only be a gross infringement of freedom of expression but would likely be exacerbated by gagging orders in the many months before such malicious prosecutions come to court.
4. The Bill seeks to introduce into law the concept of “gender identity” — a subjective feeling that is not defined and that has been shown to be subject to frequent change. At present “transgender identity” only appears in the Sentencing Act as an aggravating factor in the case of an existing offence. This draft Bill is entirely different. It is transparently a renewed attempt to bring “gender self-ID” into law, earlier attempts having failed.
5. It would introduce a chilling effect into therapy, discouraging therapists from taking on teens with gender-related issues for fear of being falsely accused of “conversion therapy.” This has already happened to the well-known psychiatrist Az Hakeem, who has immense experience with these patients but has now decided with regret that he can no longer see them. Experiences with jurisdictions such as Victoria, Australia, which have such bills, demonstrate this chilling effect.
6. As a result of the chilling effect mentioned above, the Bill would effectively mandate so-called “gender-affirming care” — an unconscionable restriction on medical practitioners seeking to act in their patients’ best interests.
7. The provisions of the Bill interfere with freedom of expression and family life in ways that are likely to be judged incompatible with the European Convention on Human Rights and the Human Rights Act.
8. Detransitioners have vital information to convey on why this Bill would cause grave harm. So far, their lived experience has been ignored.
I am sure I have not listed all the problems with this Bill here. It was obvious yesterday, listening to the Bill’s supporters, that it was shoddily drafted without any thought of the many damaging consequences it would have. The Bill’s supporters are ideologues who are intent on getting gender identity into legislation in any way they can.
There is nothing good about this Bill. Please urge your MP to reject it.

Making the truth a criminal offense is the goal of transgender ideology.
A new article in @TheSpectator highlights the new Policy Exchange report warning that the UK’s draft Conversion Practices Bill could criminalise parents, teachers, and therapists for questioning a child’s transgender identity.
“The Bill would give the criminal law a seat at the kitchen table just when family life is at its most challenging and the stakes are at their highest.”
