Do you know why republicans spent 30 years making shit up about Hillary Clinton? Because they’re ALL afraid of Hillary Clinton. Why are they afraid of Hillary Clinton? Well, because, when she was a young lawyer, she is one of the people who got Nixon. She wrote the briefs that put his people in jail. Don’t fuck with Hillary Clinton.

This is interesting
It feels like removing a dagger from my leg. Headache. Dysphoria. Flatness. Hearing phantom iPhone dings in my sleep. Days 1-3 were more of a rush. I felt light and free. On day 4, the withdrawals began. I've never had to kick something like this before. Screens are a legit addiction. I'm curious to see if the month 6 PET scan shows enhanced metabolism in regions that improve in drug addicts who quit like the thalamus, frontal cortex, and striatum (reward circuit). There are no PET studies of people quitting screens, so Dr. Eber and I are breaking new ground. Image attached is baseline PET (F18 tracer). That's one of a few scans I'm tracking. Day 6/365 Sent from my screenless phone

Thanks Ken for putting in the work despite the loud noise and calls for you to resign. Your plan was executed successfully, and the results speak for themselves.
When I became DNC chair, I made a bet: If we organized everywhere, we could win anywhere. Democrats had to start organizing year-round—in blue states, red states, and purple states—to rebuild trust with voters and win back power nationwide. And that’s exactly what we did. 🧵

Republican Senator Chuck Grassley of Iowa, who is 93 years old, has just filed his paperwork to seek reelection in 2028. Grassley was first elected into office when election results were still being delivered by carrier pigeons. We fucking need term limits.

Now that we have more doctors elected to government, can we work on legislation that holds healthcare providers accountable for knowingly spreading false medical claims that put people at risk? I’m talking about using your credentials to sell bullshit you KNOW is bullshit and leading people down a rabbit hole of harm while cashing the checks. Wouldn’t that be fucking fantastic.

As Speaker, you receives numerous death threats and need high security due to the high position on the line of succession. They also have access to intelligence that only the WH possesses. The job is fucking stressful and no one wants it cause you can’t live a normal life. Please live in reality.

As a former Republican voter, brought up in a conservative Christian, homeschooled environment and is now agnostic and left leaning, I’ve had to reeducate myself on so much related to history, authority, and personal freedom. Becoming more educated has given me another way to think about how my upbringing here in Mississippi has shaped what we’ve accept as status quo, and has helped me to question it. My vote in Mississippi relates to race, poverty, and corruption. I really don’t think Mississippi can move forward without being more honest about all of it. We need to start taking racial inequality seriously, hold accountable the public officials who are supposed to serve people instead of line their pockets, and we need to stop treating poverty like it’s personal failing. Mississippi is so often looked down upon. Low education, poor health, high infant death, high poverty rates, obesity and at the same time serious food insecurity. People have always looked down on Mississippi. But I care about Mississippi and the people who live here, and we deserve better. I mean, my goodness! We are a hospitality state! I have seen people show up for a neighbor, bring food to the grieving, and give what they can even though they don’t have much themselves. I want our government to reflect it a little bit more of that goodness. I want the care that we show a neighbor in a crisis to extend to people of a different race, different religion, different income, and different way of life. I don’t think we should have to agree with someone’s beliefs to care whether they have enough to eat, whether they have access to health care, or a safe place to raise their children. And I don’t want Mississippians to have to rely on individual generosity to make up for what our institutions are failing to appropriately provide to us. Bringing someone a meal is great, but why are they going hungry in the first place? Helping a sick neighbor is great, but why is it that they can’t afford to see a doctor? I think we can value personal responsibility and still expect responsibility from the people we elected to serve us. This is why I voted blue. Because I felt those candidates are closer to the kind of Mississippi that I want to live in and continue to build. A Mississippi that takes racial inequality seriously, a Mississippi that respects personal freedom, a Mississippi that invests in people and holds its leaders accountable. Mississippians are worth it.

The Senate and House handle leadership elections completely differently. With so much misinformation going around, here is how the Senate Majority Leader and House Speaker are chosen:
