🇵🇱 A very disturbing claim has emerged during a broadcast on Polish television channel Polsat.
Apparently, there were plans to deny President Karol Nawrocki's plane permission to land at a military airport in Warsaw.
However, according to those who revealed the information, the military rebelled and refused to obey orders from above.
If true, that's a level of interference that ticks every major box of being unlawful and undemocratic, and it cannot go unpunished.

Slavery was a great evil, practiced in almost every culture at some point in history.
Britain did more than any other country to bring the international slave trade to an end.
Our Prime Minister should be proud of that history, not caving to those who wish to rewrite it.

Chancellor Healey says he encourages people on ordinary incomes to save and invest. To encourage them more he slapped an extra 2% tax on savings to add to Reeves' earlier 2%. This is invariably on already taxed income. All to pay for out of control welfare. Labour robbers.

‘The Caribbean Community does not accept that reparations are "not the right answer".’
Why are we entertaining this nonsense?
STATEMENT FROM THE CHAIR OF THE CARIBBEAN COMMUNITY,
THE HON. PHILIP J. PIERRE, PRIME MINISTER OF SAINT LUCIA |
REPARATORY JUSTICE
The Caribbean Community has taken careful note of the remarks published by the Right Honourable Andy Burnham MP, Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, on Britain's role in the transatlantic trafficking and chattel enslavement of African bodies ahead of the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting which opens in Antigua and Barbuda on Sunday.
Let me begin by recognising what is new.
Prime Minister Burnham has expressed personal sorrow and regret for the suffering caused by slavery and its continuing effects on the world today. He has said that he is open to a formal apology on behalf of the British state, and he has offered a structured dialogue with those affected. No British Prime Minister has gone this far before. It would be wrong of us not to say so, and we welcome it in the spirit in which it appears to be offered. For more than a decade, this Community has asked for exactly such a dialogue.
We are ready to engage.
But friendship requires candour, and so I must be equally clear about where we differ.
The Caribbean Community does not accept that reparations are "not the right answer". Nor do we accept the argument that responsibility falls away because the people of Britain today played no personal part in these crimes. Reparatory justice has never been about individual guilt. It is about the responsibility of states and institutions — and that responsibility does not expire with the passing of generations. We do believe that the successive generations continue to be the beneficiaries, materially, socially and psychologically of that crime of racialised chattel enslavement.

Mind blowing!! They really are that Blasé and totally safe in their conviction that their actions will have no consequences! Fuck me we need Nuremberg 2 sooner rather than later.
🚨🇵🇱 Poland's constitutional crisis just took another rather EXTRAORDINARY TURN
President Karol Nawrocki was reportedly ALMOST BLOCKED from landing in Warsaw after abruptly turning his plane around to confront the crisis at the Constitutional Tribunal.
According to reports aired on Polish television, someone allegedly wanted his presidential aircraft denied access to the military section of Warsaw's airport and diverted to another city.
The remarkable part: journalists claim the MILITARY REFUSED to follow orders from above, allowing the president to land.
Nawrocki did make it back to Warsaw, where he confronted the escalating dispute over the country's highest constitutional court.
Now the rather serious question is WHO allegedly tried to prevent Poland's own president from returning to his capital.
And whether such an order was ever actually issued.

Lack of private sector experience of our politicians is way worse than these graphs suggest. Their private sector experience is almost entirely PR/comms/lobbying/media
No one in Burnham’s cabinet has founded or operated a business.

🚨Labour MP Demands Private Firm Fix Jobs Crisis Her Own Government Fuelled
Discount chain Poundland has filed for administration, risking 12,000 jobs weeks before Christmas. Labour MP Bell Ribeiro-Addy, a Burnham ally, now orders the private owners to sit down with ministers and unions to save the business. This is the same administration that jacked up employer National Insurance and labour costs—pressures retailers openly cited as hammering the high street. The spectacle of socialists lecturing private capital on job-saving after their policies helped bury the chain is pure political hypocrisy

And now the Home Secretary is going to effectively fast track the recipients of these patently fraudulent visas into ILR status - giving them the ability to claim all the benefits under the sun.
Extraordinarily reckless.

Replies off, obviously, because who wants to be told that this is a direct consequence of the policies they championed?
I am deeply concerned that Poundland jobs are at risk here in constituency of #PaisleyRenfrewshireNorth in #Braehead with many constituents impacted.
Poundland has filed a notice of intention to appoint administrators, putting 11,000 jobs at risk across more than 600 stores and distribution centres across the UK.
I welcome PM Andy Burham's support for Poundland workers & like him, I question why the company's owners chose not to accept a viable solvent offer which @UsdawUnion say could have prevented this outcome. This situation was entirely predictable by @Poundland according to the Shop Workers Trade Union who have been monitoring the situation closely for some time.
I have reached out to parliamentary colleagues to explore what options are available to assist and I hope to meet with USDAW trade union who represent Poundland workers to discuss the local issues in more detail.

🏴🇬🇧 Britain sent warships into a friendly country's harbours. 🔥
And burned its ships at anchor. ⚓
That country was Brazil 🇧🇷
More enslaved Africans were taken to Brazil than to any other country on earth. ⛓️
Not America 🇺🇸 Brazil 🇧🇷
Nearly half of everyone shipped across the Atlantic went there. Ten times more than the United States. 🌍
In 1826 Britain made Brazil sign a treaty. The trade would end by 1830. 📜
Brazil signed. Then ignored it. They even had a phrase for laws like that: "para inglês ver". For the English to see. 👀
Tens of thousands of people kept arriving every year. 😔
So Britain changed the law. Brazilian slave ships could now be tried in British courts as pirates. ⚖️
In 1850 the Royal Navy sailed into Brazil's ports, under the guns of the forts. They cut out the slave ships and burned them. 🚢
Emperor Pedro II's government had a choice. War with Britain. Or end the trade. ⚔️
That September, Brazil banned it. Within two years the trade was dead. 🕊️
Yet today only one country is asked to feel ashamed. 🤔
The one that stopped it. 🇬🇧
Be part of us. 🇬🇧
Be Proud Of Us. 🙏🇬🇧
