I asked GPT-4 to imagine a trip if it took psychedelics. Then I used the description it gave me as a prompt to generate this video and the music. It's all AI-generated.
the description that GPT-4 gave me:
"As the trip begins, you find yourself in a luminous fractal forest, where the trees are composed of intricate, ever-changing geometric patterns. The branches morph into self-replicating, kaleidoscopic shapes that stretch endlessly into the sky. The leaves shimmer with vibrant, iridescent colors, and the ground beneath your feet pulses with a rhythmic energy that seems to synchronize with your heartbeat. As you walk deeper into the forest, you encounter glowing, translucent creatures that communicate through harmonious melodies, enveloping you in a symphony of light and sound, in the style of As the trip begins, you find yourself in a luminous fractal forest, where the trees are composed of intricate, ever-changing geometric patterns. I asked GPT-4 to share the most interesting fact it knows. I have to admit it is one of the most interesting things I learned:
"One of the most interesting facts I know is about the immortal jellyfish, Turritopsis dohrnii. This tiny creature has the unique ability to revert back to its juvenile form after it has reached maturity. When faced with stress or injury, it can undergo a process called transdifferentiation, which allows its cells to transform into different types of cells. By doing this, the jellyfish can essentially start its life cycle anew, making it biologically immortal. However, it can still die from disease or predation. The immortal jellyfish's ability to reverse its aging process is a fascinating phenomenon and has captured the interest of scientists studying aging and regenerative medicine."
Good night :)

I'm so tired of people treating LLMs like people that I co-authored a rant/post with @GaryMarcus about it -- complete with references to the ELIZA effect for the boomers and Furbies for the millenials! 😉
Stop Treating AI Models Like People!
No, they haven’t decided to teach themselves anything, they don’t love you back, and they still aren’t even a little bit sentient.
@SashaMTL and I have had enough of this nonsense & discuss in joint essay:

This was an absolutely fantastic lecture. One of the most engaging pre-clinical talks I’ve listened to recently. I was so captured I forgot to take any pictures of Liz’s superb slides. @BradburyLab @ASIA_spine #ASIA2023atl

Today I’m supposed to talk about how telehealth grants abortion patients a temporary world where stigma doesn’t exist: no travel, no wait times, no protestors in their faces.
That may have just been taken away last night by the 5th circuit.
Today at #PAA2023 two amazing researchers, @andreavbecker and @leahrkoenig will present our latest chatstudy.org research results on telehealth abortion.
This, the very day the 5th circuit reimposed in-person requirements for medication abortion.

In a @NatureComms perspective article, MSc student Victor Lau (@Vzplau) & co-authors (@DrLRamer, @LaboTremblay) hypothesize the progression of #Alzheimers must involve maladaptive, senescent cell buildup.

With mentors @DrLRamer and @LaboTremblay's excellent help, I've come up with a hypothesis reinterpreting #Alzheimer's #disease.
What does it say?

ChatGPT is overhyped.
That's what I told myself after 2 weeks of trying (and failing) to use it well.
Turns out, I was just a poor prompt writer.
But after spending hundreds of hours tinkering, I've finally cracked it.
And now, it's my personal writing assistant.
Here's how:
