Haven't jumped into DMZ yet but I keep seeing people begging for a PvE mode. Same story every time. Lots of us just want to loot, run objectives and hang with the boys. Give us the toggle and let the PvP guys keep their lobbies. Room for everybody. Is this that controversial?
Embark just shipped a tool to drag your downed buddy to extract and I guarantee somebody's already using it to haul strangers into a Bastion. Still the most co-op thing they've added. Rescue or grief, what's your first use?
Starting to think extraction shooters are a niche genre on its way out, mostly thanks to the crappy fanbases. ARC Raiders was never really one to begin with. It was built as a PvE co-op game and it plays like a lightweight MMO looter shooter. Maybe that's why it's the one people want to actually stick with.

Going back to WoW for WoW Forever. Not because I think Blizzard is pushing the genre forward, I don't. Same game, same treadmill, fresh coat of paint. But nostalgia is a hell of a drug. I'll give it a fair shot and an honest take either way. Honestly, looking forward to it.

88 votes • 9 minutesCheaters are the one thing in ARC everybody agrees on. PvE guy, PvP guy, doesn't matter, nobody signed up to get beamed through a wall by some loser paying for cheat software. Fix this before anything else. Would a PvE mode even slow them down or would they just farm it?
Not bleak, overdue. The industry rewarded preaching over gameplay for a decade and now the bill came due. Time for a new guard that makes fun games and lets players just play. Where do you think it starts?

Embark pulled back the fire bugs and suicide balls on Dam because new players hated them. That's a studio actually listening. Do the same in November with the PvE reveal and I'm good for another year.

Battlefield threw a 16 player PvE mode in for Halloween. Embark tested one in ARC Raiders and got 30 million rounds. DMZ guys are begging for one. At some point the suits have to notice the pattern right? PvP lobbies stay. Just give the rest of us a door too.
