#Gratitude opens and closes communication loops. Acts of #appreciation energize and calm minds. Hearts warm when thanks is given and received. @EGVBusinessPark FD officer David Hoppe crafted for @enclave_center this “thank you,” now hanging in The 1776 Boardroom. Grateful we are!

#FireChief @EGFD200 returned to the stage at @enclave_center, following an informative introduction by @egvtrustee. @EGTV6's broadcast and online recording of the monthly masterclass (No. 50) at @enclave_center in @EGVBusinessPark extend the local-to-global value of the messages.
On October 20, I @egvtrustee attended the 50th #MASTERCLASS at the @enclave_center located in @ElkGroveVillage; The presentations by the Elk Grove Village Fire Chief Mikel @EGFD200 and @enclave_center CEO @JohnRDallasJr were both outstanding.

During this morning’s heart-rending and mind-wrenching #911NeverForget tribute, led by @EGFD200 with @EGVPD, #compassion was in the air as we glanced skyward at low-flying aircraft for nearby @fly2ohare. The strongest among us allowed tears to mix with our #memories and #hopes. – at Elk Grove Village, IL
The most meaningful way to honor those we lost is to live with honor.
Choosing compassion over callousness and dignity in the face of disdain.
Upholding your principles when others compromise theirs.
Being grateful for precious time that too many were denied.

Trust is on shaky ground. From trust among us to trust in authority, neighbors and nations are quaking. The global #COVID19 pandemic, social unrest, political uncertainty, and socioeconomic precarity bring #trust top of mind. Try giving—and receiving—win-win-plus gifts of trust!

Set aside “Monday morning quarterbacking” in favor of “Monday Morning Mastery” — using The HILL Model™. #Mastery emerges from #AfterActionReviews (#AARs) for studying actualities — in locker rooms and in war rooms. Climb to new heights to survey what can’t be seen from valleys.
Proud to share that the Elk Grove Village Fire Department has achieved Accredited Status through the Center for Public Safety Excellence! Awarded at the CPSE Excellence Conference, unannounced at our Village Board Meeting, tonight.
