The CTO's memo is right: your old job is gone. The CEO's Slack reply isn't. Someone at a security company asked for a few days to pentest new code and was told that's "loser thinking". AI makes checks cheap. Fast and secure means running more of them, not shaming whoever asks.

One reason I am sanguine about the technological singularity is that I have seen it coming for over 50 years. In 1975, when I was 17, I wrote: "Before man can most effectively aid his problem solving machinery, he must first understand it. At present, his understanding is very poor. However, when the breakthrough in understanding the brain occurs, improvement will come very fast and in an exponential increase. Once man has created an intelligence greater than his own, that intelligence should be able to create an intelligence greater than itself, as man whose intelligence is less than its was able to create its intelligence. Thus, the level of intelligence will shoot up with incredible rapidity, probably within the space of years. Within a few years of a breakthrough, which may occur any time now, man will either have been left behind by a superior intelligence of his own making, which he can no longer understand, or he will have become that intelligence and will no longer be like anything imaginable today."

Absolutely right about checkpoints. We build the same way: long stretches of work on its own, then a stop where someone checks it before it goes further. A wrong turn caught at a checkpoint costs minutes. Caught at the end, it costs the whole run.
This is good advice for now to think about working with models like Opus 5.5. But it is often best to build in checkpoints where the model reports back to you with interim ideas or prototypes so you can guide & give feedback on the process, rather than one-shotting on your goal.

I see this gap from both sides. In April I had one AI agent. Today: nine seats, typically 4 workers at once, six checks on every change, one shared memory. Aaron's right: you never finish. That's where The Ai Expert sits: at the frontier, bringing firms across while it moves.
It’s almost incomprehensible how wide the distance is between someone who’s working at the frontier with AI and basically everyone else right now. The crazy thing is these lines are not converging, but only growing farther apart. If the curve of AI progress had leveled off, it would certainly have given most people and companies time to catch up or implement their workflows in a standardized way. The technology would have neutralized competitive advantage because everyone would be using it the same way. But what’s happened is the opposite. The curve of AI progress is basically going vertical right now, which means if you had codified your processes 3-6 months ago you’re likely already behind again. Now imagine most companies that kicked into gear a year ago and thought that they were done. Even further behind now. I’ve never seen a technology in my life and career that improves at this rate, which consequently means you need to upgrade your expectations at a similar rate. Our brains weren’t wired for this, and our organizational change management processes certainly weren’t either. With any form of recursive self improvement, things just get wilder. It’s a time when you will need to be constantly reevaluating the things that didn’t work just a couple months ago to see if they now can be solved. AI native companies certainly have a strong advantage due to this right now, so now it comes down to can the bigger companies keep up. Wild times.

A haiku from a TPU in orbit. Funny first output, right first test: command up, chip boots, prompt runs, answer back. Before anything clever, prove the full round trip works. It's the same on the ground.
A ā€˜hello world’ milestone for Project Suncatcher šŸš€ After launching our prototype satellite a few weeks ago, we’ve now successfully sent a command up to orbit, booted up the TPU, ran the prompt, and received our first complete response back on earth - a haiku!

BREAKING: Binance has been hacked with wallets across the Ethereum, Bitcoin, and TRON networks seeing outflows of -$5.7 billion. The hack includes $1.45 billion worth of Bitcoin and $875 million worth of ETH. If confirmed, this would mark the biggest hack in crypto history. We expect more information shortly.

Last night an AI agent performed brain surgery on a mouse. We gave it 19 gene therapy vectors in a spreadsheet, a mouse model of epilepsy, access to a motorize surgery rig with cameras and one goal: reduce seizures. It picked the drug. It picked the brain region. It derived the coordinates from three papers. Then it drove the stereotaxic arms into the brain and injected 250 nanolitres while watching the entry site through the rig camera for bleeding. A licensed vet gated every irreversible step and held a physical kill switch to stop the AI agent. Thread on what it decided, what it saw, and the moment it refused to let me override it. [Writing this on the spot out of excitement, but I've been 18hrs in front of my laptop coding and coordinating this, so keeping it brief and descriptive, more cohesive thoughts on this soon...]

On $20 plans, $1 of Sol costs 7x what $1 of Opus does. A task, only 1.3x Just the API equivalent usage for a subscription isn't enough. You need to show the efficiency of the models as well.

From today UK employers must take "all reasonable steps" to prevent sexual harassment. Yet 67.7% of organisations have investigations running past a month, and 73% still use paper or generic tools. We're making the method repeatable: AI drafts, investigators decide.

Pharma's math problem: HCPs want personalized content, but every variant is another job in an MLR queue that already averages 14.8 days. We build content studios that start from approved claims, locked word for word, and personalize only the hook, story and CTA.

Introducing Gemini 4 Carbon, it's a big jump over Argon which we released just 2 weeks ago. Gemini 4 Carbon is SOTA on cyber, long horizon tasks, ranks #1 on Artificial Analysis V5, significantly improves on usability in domains like coding, and is more aligned.

Very excited to share Genie 4, our incredible interactive world model, bringing together real-time physics, reasoning, and audio! Simulations within simulations, makes you wonder just how deep the rabbit hole goes... I have a feeling we will be finding out soon enough...
This is Genie 4, our most realistic and interactive world model yet. 🌐 Explore dynamic environments in real time to see how the scene responds, sounds, and how the people in it move, react, and speak.
