Dying coral reefs and hot tub oceans. Deadly heat in India and Mexico. This is still just the beginning. We are all still riding precariously up a heating trend that will eventually kill and displace billions, brought to you by fossil fuel assholes and the fools they've bribed

And for those keeping track, global sea surface temperatures hit a new all-time modern record high yesterday, at 21.15°C. Yep. It's all going swimmingly, as they say.

“We will not sign our death certificate. We cannot sign on to text that does not have strong commitments on phasing out fossil fuels.”
BREAKING #COP28: Small Island Developing States @AOSISChair very concerned by the current draft text: “weak langage on fossil fuels”, “completely insufficient”. “It doesn’t refer to a phase out at all.” “Any text that compromises 1.5°C will be rejected.” Minister Cedric Schuster

Fossil fuel CEOs who continue to promote inaction and greenwash while doubling down on fossil fuel extraction are absolutely appropriate targets for disruptive direct actions (especially when they're absurdly being honored for their destructive behavior).
This is huge. This is absolutely monumental. We just shut down an event honoring Exxon CEO Darren Woods. The whole room fled. We showed up & prevented this monster from uttering a word. We will resist him with all we've got. There is no choice.

There’s a big connection between the fracking industry and toxic PFAS chemicals. ⬇️ Oil and gas companies use PFAS in fracking, which creates addt’l avenues for potential human exposure through air and water contamination – in the fracking process and through wastewater disposal.

In 3 yrs this #solar installation at a Arkansas high school turned the district budget from a $250K deficit to a $1.8 million surplus. They're using the surplus to pay teachers more. We have the solutions. Implement them. #ActOnClimate #ClimateAction #climate #NoWarNoWarming

People are moving to Washington’s temperate Olympic Peninsula to escape heat waves and storms, unaware they’re living in a cougar habitat. As the big cats find it hard to avoid people, many end up dead. insideclimatenews.org/news/1…

We're exceeding hellish 1.5°C of global warming earlier than expected as the Extinction Economy's emissions rise to all-time highs. Trillions are being invested in new oil & gas. The major culprits? The US & Canada. Species won't avoid the worst effects of abrupt climate change.
