Today’s Edinburgh Disgraces are legion, and much worse than a half built Parthenon. See unending road works, overflowing bins, unmanaged parks and gardens.

With suggestions the PM might start a debate over the future of the triple lock, how are the public likely to react and what is a reform friendly framing? The danger will be making this a debate specifically about the triple lock or pitching an intergenerational fight. Asked in isolation the public across age groups tend not to think the lock is too generous

"If we want people to change their behaviour, the alternative needs to look and feel like an attractive choice." Does @Edinburgh_CC really want more people to switch to public transport’. Which ghastly knackered filthy bus stops like this clearly not

The St Columba’s Hospice shop in Ocean Terminal is closing soon and everything is half price. They have an incredible collection of vinyl at the moment - loads of Jim Reeves and James Last too

Voi bike really ought to get on this platform @edinhelp - look at this on South Bridge (behind the car and bang in the bus stop space)

‘Driven by booming upscale tourism and stringent short-term rental (STR) licensing laws that decimated the local Airbnb supply, planning-compliant serviced apartments have stepped in to capture massive displaced demand.’ Expected income can’t be right though.

If anyone on here owns or works for Saigon Memoire restaurant tell them I have decided the fee for advertising on Old Town bins is £100 per bin side per day. Thanks for giving @Edinburgh_CC your profits. Pay quickly or it doubles every day you don’t. Fair?

@edinhelp bus users come last again on South Bridge - shelter removed, pavement littered with roadworks signs with no roadworks. Crowded even in the rain people trying to get a bus are being treated particularly badly. Why?

I’m back - with an aerial shot of this bus stop on South Bridge - it did have a shelter and now just has streetworks clutter

It’s been 12 months at least since the left turn into London Rd from Elm Row was reinstated. Road signs do need to be up to date to be of any use don’t they? @Edinburgh_CC

In @Edinburgh_CC the pedestrian always comes……after the important task of advertising fringe shows. This junk is taking up more than half the width of the pavement. What’s the excuse? How do locals benefit?

@Edinburgh_CC is constantly improving the visitor experience - knee high weeds (here in Constitution Street) are giving the ‘derelict land that time forgot’ feel so many search for.

Vehicle in this case is taxed but has no MOT - shamelessly parked opposite the cop shop too!

‘Gee, can I get a view of the Castle from here?’ ‘of course - it is in the distance beyond the fighting seagulls, rubbish and discarded piece of wood’. @Edinburgh_CC your passion for enhancing the visitor experience is clear and present at all times. Well done! – at Edinburgh, Scotland

Summer is a tough me for travel to foreign climes and to encounter different cultures. In Sevenoaks, Kent, today the Ferrari garage is moving the cars around in 35 degree heat, the town has branches of every bank you can think of and Waitrose is the convenience store
