Coach Kelvin Sampson says Chase McCarty has been diagnosed with sprained left knee. He will get treatment for rest of week and is day-to-day. He is questionable for Sunday’s game against Cal in Lake Tahoe.

Nothing official yet on Houston forward Chase McCarty, who was injured in the second half of Monday’s season opener. McCarty was expected to be evaluated today. The early belief is that he suffered a sprained left knee. Coach Kelvin Sampson said after the game that the injury didn’t appear serious.
