Well, I was not able to get the names I wanted With WoW Forever as I kept getting DC'd. (Lion ElJohnson and Weiss Schnee). So I have to make due with this. At least I was able to get something, but that little accent over the "A" in Belladonna is going to bother me forever. Curse whoever got the name first. The Lion is honestly a pretty sweet name though. And I got Ruby Rose, so not all bad.

I changed it to the Italian accent since Belladonna is an Italian word.

I keep getting DC'd trying to log in to WoW Forever. I'm going to crash out.

So I'm not a huge sweatlord when it comes to paladin (or in general) so I don't think my opinion will carry as much weight in this discussion about paladin and it's play style in WoW Forever but honestly I don't really like the direction it's going. Now for context paladin was my first class in WoW back when I started in Cata before I mained DK, and in classic I pretty much played warrior until SoD where I played Paladin and Warrior. So my take on how paladin should play is probably not exactly like people who mained paladin in classic in TBC. But I do love playing paladins in general, like in DnD, CRPGs, Path of Exile, ECT. So I guess whenever it came to the class fantasy of paladin to me I always imagined it as a warrior with holy magic. That you want intellect for spells and you were casting spells as much as you were hitting things with a hammer. What differentiated you from a warrior was the magic. But I saw a paladin roundtable feature Esfand, Savix, McConnell and others and they all seemed very very against Champion of Light and scaling with intellect. They didn't want to put on the dress and be a mage or for holy paladin to do too much damage. They want AP. But I don't know if I agree with that. If the concern is just being a pink warrior why would you want to wear warrior gear and stay the same way? Why neglect the magic portion of the class which is the magic aspect. One guy in the panel made a point I agree with which is the class fantasy of paladin is doing other utility things and having your gcd free to do things like buff or cast purify. So having a big mana pool and the more open rotation is essential to that. And when it comes to itemization if you don't want to be competing with clothe wearers is having plate gear with intellect on it. The same person brought up the point of not wanting to wear warrior gear. Esfand brought up it might make gearing boring for paladin if it just uses these paladin items, but I think that might be the cost of playing a hybrid with a more unique state requirement. A lot of these guys just want champion of light gone and for ret paladins to stay like warriors again and honestly I don't like that. As for seal twisting idk it seems kind clunky and unfun. I kind of see why they removed it after one expansion. I don't really think seal twisting is as essential to paladin not being a pink warrior as leaning into is hybrid and magic gameplay is. Seal twisting just seemed like exploiting a kind of awkward mechanic and not an intended piece of core gameplay. So id rather drop seal twisting for another form of skill expression and keep champion of light. But I admit I have way way way less cred than these guys when it comes to paladin, but that's just my two cents.

I started off playing WoW wanting to be a tank but I could never strike the right balance of going to slow or too fast for people. It didn't help I was like 13 when I started playing. Imagine having a 13 year old death Knight as your tank lmao.

In response to my tweet about the removal of breast physics in WoW Forever, where I articulate that people who are in favor of the removal cannot put forward a positive argument as to why jiggle physics are bad and need to be removed and instead they just attack people against the change and appeal to triviality, this person comes along and does just that. An endless loop of "it doesn't matter it doesn't matter it doesn't matter" and absolutely refusing to answer why the breasts physics are bad and need to be removed, and instead trying to put the onus on people against the change. They proved me 100% correct lol.
i would not have even noticed if you guys didn't whine about it so how about you tell us why you feel jiggle physics are some critical component of classic wow?

People will call you a gooner for caring about this, and pull a bunch of appeal to triviality. But I want to ask the people who defend this crap to put forward a positive argument as to why Breast physics need to be removed from WoW Forever? What is wrong with jiggle physics that demands their removal? It's actually a really hard position to defend so instead they dance around it and try and attack you for caring instead of the burden being on them to provide why this needs to be changed. If you hate jiggle physics you literally hate reality.

The amount of cope coming from the BioWare announcement is honestly astounding. It's simple. Make good games. They didn't make good games. There's nothing else to blame other than that. Everything else is cope.

People like this really refuse to accept that no it's not billionaires and capitalism killing gaming it's gaming companies making shit products. Bioware is dead because it made expensive shitty games no one bought. This person and everyone else who insisted Veilgaurd was good and the haters were irrelevant are now crafting any narrative they can to just lie and pass blame onto something else rather than just admit they were wrong. Same shit with Concord, Marathon, Halo, Avowed, ect, ect, ect. They'll defend say the same shit with God of War and Gears of War and if/when those studios face similar layoffs they will grasp at straws and shift blame again to anything other than the product. This is because they'd have to admit that everything they advocate for in gaming and other media is actually abysmal that people don't really want and they were wrong about everything. They can't be wrong. "Veilgaurd was actually super heckn' amazing and evil capitalism arbitrarily obliterated bioware for no reason". Sad.
Gaming is dying. And it's because of shareholders, billionaires buying our fav companies out and corporate greed.

Nothing like spending a night questing in Duskwood with my halloween decorations out, with the halloween event in game, listening to halloween music, with my pumpkin spice coffee, and my pumpkin spice scented candle, on my paladin so I can own skeletons with exorcism.

For a game called world of WARcraft there's so many narratives about overcoming difference and fostering understanding. And the problem is the game and lore is built on the foundation of a large scale faction and racial conflict. These conflicts between various groups and their interests is the foundation of the setting. So you can't really rip that out and have the whole thing still work. And there's only so many times you can retread "we need to set aside our differences and learn to come together and fight our common enemy...AGAIN!" The issue is that narrative arc can never complete to its conclusion because the show must go on. So Warcraft is perpetually stuck in "Nothing ever happens" territory. There's always more people to teach about peace and understanding. But how many characters can learn that lesson until everyone's skipping around Mulgore holding hands? How many times is that lesson going to be learned and unlearned and learned again. I think a better version if you still want to have a narrative with a similar message is focusing on the tragedy and inevitability of conflict. That in many cases peace and understanding is actually really really hard to achieve and in fact usually doesn't pan out that way at all. The peace and understanding stuff could work maybe in a single player story where the credits can roll and everything can resolve, not in something that's structured to keep going and going.

You’ve just ordered Pizza Hut and 2L of Mountain Dew. You’ve loaded WoW on your crappy PC. Somehow, your paladin has reached level 34, and you’re about to group up for a quest in Stranglethorn Vale. Your parents don’t mind you staying up all night. A perfect summer night. You are 35 years old. The year is 2026.

You know after thinking about it more I think I reevaluated my stance on the whole lowering the dual spec conversation in WoW Forever. Before I thought maybe lowering it to 30 would be acceptable but nah, I think it should be kept at 40. The core of the argument was that now there's a much bigger difference between performance at low levels between a leveling spec and being speced into tanking or healing for dungeons, you'd want dual spec at lower levels so you could do both. But honestly I think that choice is pretty cool, and you certainly do no need to be spec'd into healing or tank to do any of the lower level dungeons even if it's better. I think it's cool that you have to think about if you want to be as best as possible at leveling or if you want to devote points into the other trees to be a better low level tank or healer. Plus here is something no one is considering, the legacy talents. You can get I believe 5 extra talent points at low level with that system. So you can absolutely split off some of your talents and dip into prot or whatever while maintaining what would mostly be a proper leveling tree. So keep dual spec at 40.

I really really don't want paid mounts in wow forever, but if they HAVE to add them can they AT LEAST not make them so lame and silly? These are even worse than the skyborne druid forms, something they already had to work on. I don't want to be questing through duskwood and see Flimbo the dopey tortoise and his best friend Clucky the plucky chicken.

The more I read the replies the more I realize the people not only hate the MMO in MMORPG but also the RPG part of it. They're looking and demanding a live-service esports title. No gearing, no racials, just give me the gear, let me run instanced content for 5 seconds off a timer

If I'm going to fully admit to one big character flaw it's letting myself get into heated arguments on the Internet. Idk, it's just pretty hard for me to not retaliate when someone comes at me calling me a retard. Like I don't care if people disagree with me with me on something, we can have a conversation. But when someone comes out of the gate swinging my instinct is to swing back. And it's really an internet thing because weirdly enough IRL I'm actually really good at keeping my cool when someone is coming at me aggressively, but when I see those horrible little words on the screen I just feel like saying mean things back. You'd think it'd be the reverse lol. But yeah I should really work on that.

It's because there's no money in it or strong pathway to a career. The business model is also very broken in America.
With how big Japanese manga has been in the west for the past 1.5 decades, you would think that would inspire people to make their own comics, but I don't see it. Where's the western comic boom inspired by manga?

Alright, this is not okay. Like at all. BIG NO. They've updated racials in WoW forever and it seems like all the weapon specializations have been removed, and also some races all literally have this same racial where it's just a flat 2% crit? What the hell is even the point? No two races should have literally the same racial ability. A huge part of playing any RPG is that each race has unique strengths and weaknesses, right from the DNA of DnD. This is the antithesis of that. Who asked for changes like this? This is completely anti-classic. Edit: So I see that humans specifically have 2% more critical strike chance rather than 2% critical damage and healing, which is different as someone pointed out. Still, my point stands that dwarf and Tauren basically have the ability and they all still lost weapon specialization, which is homogenization.
