This former illegal immigrant is threatening to jail the new White House chief of staff for helping the President execute federal law?

“What Thune is doing by calling a snap leadership election is disgraceful. It’s like the CEO of a publicly traded company — one whose stock value has just plummeted more than it has in a very long time — telling the board of directors that they have to extend his contract another two years, before they’ve even had a chance to hear his plan for how to dig out.” — from a Senate observer.
Senate GOP rules contemplate leadership elections occurring between January 3rd & January 10th.
They’ve often been held earlier than that, but perhaps Senate Republicans should assess leadership candidates based on how they lead the conference over the next few weeks while we still have the majority—especially while the full membership of the next conference is still being determined.

In 1883, a 31-year-old widow in New Mexico Territory signed one document and lost her store, her savings, and the building she lived in. The sheriff told her it was a civil matter. Lawyers wanted money she no longer had. Margaret Sullivan ended up washing other people’s clothes in a boarding house.
She bought secondhand law books and studied by candlelight after 14-hour days. She taught herself contracts, fraud statutes, and legal procedure. She also discovered the man who ruined her, Thomas Wardell, had done the same thing to businesses in Colorado and Kansas. She tracked down seven other victims and spent two years collecting evidence.
Then she took him to court herself. Wardell arrived with expensive lawyers from Denver. Margaret arrived with seventeen binders. The trial lasted three weeks. She questioned witnesses, presented the records, and won. Wardell was ordered to pay full restitution.
She did not stop there. She helped draft stronger consumer protection rules that passed in 1889. She reopened her dry goods store, later ran three locations, and hired other widows. She also began teaching women how to read contracts before they signed them.
Margaret Sullivan died in 1924 at 72. The woman who once could not afford a lawyer had recovered what was stolen from her and made it harder for the same thing to happen to others.

How is this even possible??
All of California’s major candidate election results are the EXACT SAME percentages for Democrats and Republicans...
Governor 64% (D) vs 35% (R)
Lieutenant Governor 64% (D) vs 35%
(R) Secretary of State 64% (D) vs 35% (R)
Controller 64% (D) vs 35% (R)
Treasurer 64% (D) vs 35% (R)
Attorney General 64% (D) vs 35% (R)
Supreme Court Justice:Joshua Groban 72%(D)vs28%(R)
Supreme Court Justice: Kelli M. Evans 72%(D) vs28% (R)
These don’t look like real election results, they look like a computer algorithm. Our elections are fake!

The attached map inaccurately depicts most Texas counties flipping Democratic in 2026. Democrats won key statewide races but carried only ~37-40 of 254 counties.

The Seahawks aren't in a position to turn to Jalen Milroe yet. But another loss would make a running QB a more intriguing change on offense than a lateral move to Drew Lock.
After all, no Seattle QB has done anything besides throw to JSN.

So apparently the Director of Arkansas professional programs has been altering bar examination scores for several years by taking points from some bar examinees and adding them to other bar examinees

I love how Redditors can't even find an image of Conservatives melting down so they just photoshopped a Maga hat on the crying liberal from Trump's first inauguration.
Total cultural victory.

Lame duck priorities: 22 judicial nominees need all 53 GOP senators back or their lives’ ambitions are crushed as the Dem senate will not confirm a one of them.
The country as a whole needs every Republican in House and Senate to come back and do Reconciliation 3.0 for our troops. Some legislators will be angry or embittered but they need to keep those warriors and their families front of mind and run through the tape.

Texas Republicans aren't rolling over.
Hours after Dan Patrick lost, GOP state senators are meeting to rewrite the rules and strip the new Democrat Lt. Gov. of her control over committees, bills and the floor.
Simple majority vote. Totally legal.
That's how you fight back.

The New York Times is going to do everything they can to help leftists murder Elon Musk.
Because let’s face it, that’s what they really want.
They know the hearings and subpoenas will go nowhere. All this is just about getting as much rage content out into the leftist terrorsphere as possible in hopes of inspiring a Louie Mangione or Tyler Robinson to get the job done.
The left celebrates assassinations. They’ve worked very well for them. And they’re going to escalate.
This week is my first @nytimes as a tech reporter covering Elon Musk's companies with a focus on AI and emerging technologies.

I have a really old label printer which stopped working and I can’t find a driver for it anywhere online that works with a Mac.
I was about to throw it out but I hate buying new printers so I asked Claude if it could whip me up a driver. It did, it works. And I saved $200.
I love AI.
