ALT A joint statement from Rainforest Action Network Management and RAN Alliance for Workers' Rights/Communication Workers of America
ALT Through unionizing efforts, RAWR has successfully gained recognition as a member of CWA Local 9415.
ALT In a statement from the Executive Director, Ginger Cassady, shared, “We’re incredibly proud that RAN members have chosen to form a union and we anticipate an authentic and honest bargaining relationship. This new chapter will only serve to move RAN forward toward achieving our vision of a world where the rights and dignity of all communities are respected and where healthy forests, a stable climate and wild biodiversity are protected and celebrated.”
ALT Several people stand in the lobby of RBC Wealth Management U.S. Headquarters on Dakota and Anishinaabe land in so called Minneapolis, MN. The people are holding two 5-foot tall homemade posters with art from Indigenous artists in coordination with Stop the Money Pipeline’s #DefundClimateChaos Arts Week of Action. One art piece depicts a big green sprouting hand refusing various images of the fossil fuel industry and fossil fuel disasters. The other art piece depicts an Indigenous mother with her fist raised, and in her other arm is her small child holding the Earth. Both pieces of art have the text “#Defund Climate Chaos”. The RBC Wealth Management logo is displayed on the wall in the background.
