🚨 PRESS STATEMENT ALERT
194+ organizations have stood together in solidarity.
Today, civil society organizations, human rights defenders, grassroots movements, and accountability champions issued a joint press statement condemning the escalating intimidation, surveillance, harassment, and attacks targeting Kenya's civic space.
We call on the @DCI_Kenya, @IG_NPS , @NPSOfficial_KE ,@IPOA_KE , the Departmental Committee on Administration and Internal Security of the Parliament, @InteriorKE , and all other constitutional accountability institutions to act immediately, investigate these incidents, and hold those responsible to account.
An attack on one civic actor is an attack on democracy itself.

Today we are marking International ID Day with a peaceful walk in Kisii to demand for legal identity for all. Because every step counts when walking towards inclusion, dignity and justice. Discrimination continues to hinder minority communities from accessing essential birth certificates and legal documents. On #IDDay2025, let's challenge these systemic biases in legal frameworks to achieve SDG 16.9 for all marginalized groups #MyIDMyRightl

"A hungry person has no ears." @dianagichengo.
This quote reminds us that when basic needs, like food, aren't met, other concerns fade away. It is essential to advocate for the #Right2Food in Kenya and urge policymakers to prioritize food security for all.
