This makes way more sense when you realize that ripple will use XRP within the U.S. jurisdiction through updated regulations put in place years ago.
In the December 6, 2019 proposed rule, the CFPB described Ripple's payments messaging platform and $XRP's ability to settle crossborder transfers.
