Mike Ditka was scheduled to sing the seventh inning stretch on July 5th, 1998. This was the year that Harry Caray died and the “guest conductor” was new at Wrigley Field. Ditka got stuck in traffic and was running late. By the time the top of the seventh ended, Ditka was still not there and Steve Stone and Chip Caray stalled for time. Finally Ditka busts into the press box, grabs the mic, and screams Take Me Out To The Ball Game in twenty two seconds! Organist Gary Pressy could barely keep up! The crowd roared with approval! R.I.P. Mike Ditka

LEGENDARY: Mike Ditka’s performance in the 2005 comedy movie Kicking & Screaming alongside Will Ferrell was one of the FUNNIEST things we have ever seen.
One of the greatest personalities in football history, both on and off the field.
REST IN PEACE ❤️🙏

The Cubs had the 7th best record in baseball out of 30 teams. The 3rd best run differential.
If you want to argue that there should be only 4 or 6 total playoff teams, hey, fine, make THAT argument. Don't say stupid, unsupportable shit like "this was a bad team outside of PCA."

Red Sox: “We’re cool with playing the series at Wrigley to avoid a literal nor’easter screwing everything up this weekend.”
Cubs: “Alright, so are we.”
@Phillies and @Padres: “BUT THAT’S NOT FAAAAAAIIIIRRRRR.”
The Red Sox "green-lit" the idea of playing their series against the Cubs at Wrigley Field this weekend, @MattSpiegs reports. The Cubs would've reimbursed the Red Sox money.
The Padres and the Phillies "did not like that idea," Spiegel adds. So it didn't happen.

This statement contradicts itself. We all saw the clock at zero without the ball being touched. If the clocks are synced, how is that possible? And why is this the footage used? And where is this clock from? They spent hours on this and it still doesn’t add up.

🚨JUST IN: Michigan head coach admits there was no time left after the game:
“THERE WASN’T TIME.”

Let me get this right. The officials completely screw up the officiating at the end of the Michigan game. They get a Hail Mary to beat W. Michigan. And the crowd at Michigan Stadium storms the field for a victory over a MAC team. Another reason to laugh at Michigan. What a joke.

We just witnessed complete and utter robbery. That clock was beyond the shadow of a doubt at 0. Unless the refs had a different clock than what we saw, that is one of the biggest injustices in the history of college football.

Michigan paid Western Michigan $1.5 million to play the game
Michigan paid the officials $1.6 million to add a second on the clock*
*Allegedly

A game like that legitimately makes college football lose credibility. Just unbelievable.

Michigan fans storming the field for beating Western Michigan by a point?? After they were gifted a free play at the very last second to win the game? Yikes.

The game clearly ended before a player touched the ball. Not kidding. The dirtiest move I have ever seen. The Big Ten should be absolutely ashamed.

That is the biggest bullshit in sports
You cannot hate Michigan enough
The worst fanbase and worst team in sports
And I am a NEUTRAL fan saying this
