Actually, that is not the truth... the issue is of adding referencing to the adverts not of the science. A lot of science is based on modelling including Government studies on smoking.

1) Most petrol cars registered after January 2006 meet ULEZ standards, so cars can be 17 years old + ULEZ compliant.
2) Every Londoner with a non compliant car can get up to £2k to scrap it.
3) The lowest income Londoners don't own cars, but will benefit most from cleaner air.
Did the government back ULEZ? A 2020 letter from Grant Shapps shows the government wanted even bigger changes, including extending the congestion charge to the North & South circular.
All Londoners with a non compliant car are now eligible for financial assistance with the scrappage scheme. But are there #ulez compliant cars available for <£2k?
Answer: YES, and some pretty nice ones at that.
Quick search on Autotrader shows ~5000 within 200 miles of London.
🚫 Please be wary of false posts about #ULEZ 🚫
FACT: From today, families receiving child benefit and small businesses (up to 50 employees) can now access financial support for non-compliant vehicles in London.
Fact: More than 500,000 Londoners are registered with asthma and over half of them live in Outer London
Expanding #ULEZ is vital to safeguard their health
Reminder: only 5% of the lowest income Londoners own a car yet they are around 10% more likely to suffer from toxic air.
Also worth noting: there are a number of measures to support those who are impacted by #ULEZ, including a £110 million scrappage scheme and exemptions.
This is simply not true -- all money from the ULEZ scheme is re-invested in improving public transport in outer London, like the new Superloop bus route.
