I'll say one thing for Poilievre - he has marketed abject failure to the conservative base much better than his predecessors. His election loss was a win, every hit he doesn't see coming is actually an example of how much the left "fears" him. The donation machine churns on

So, Wyatt et al., why is no one here casting blame on the CPC for doing such an atrocious vetting job with Michael Ma?
If he has a CCP issue, and were attacking the Liberals for it, we also must hold the CPC accountable as well.
This left-wing account on X was signalling during the election that Michael Ma had a potential CCP issue.
And as people are looking more into Michael, it’s becoming clear that that’s a problem.
But soon after Michael crossed the floor, this left-wing account deleted its information about him.
Funny how they’re now trying to cover up his CCP issues when he’s playing for their team.

How drunk is the base on the CPC Kool-Aid at this point?
No one in LPC "fears" Poilievre. They dared him to pull the pin on an election last month and he hid two MPs behind a curtain in case there weren't enough abstain votes.
Replying to @t7_linda
If you don’t think the left fears him, then why are they luring MP’s from the Cons? If he’s in a position of weakness, surely they would crush him in the rumoured spring election?

Conservatives have lost 3 MPs in the last couple months, and they keep blaming the PM and liberals.
Why can’t conservatives figure out @PierrePoilievre is the problem.
3mps in two months and conservatives , still seem clueless as to why, it’s Poilievre you simpletons.

Is Michael Ma a Canadian citizen?
Yep
Is he permitted/allowed to work in Canada?
Yep
Does he pay taxes?
Yep
Does he have a Canadian passport?
Yep
Was he vetted by the Conservative Party?
Yep
Shut the fuck up already, Tanya, he's as Canadian as you.

One floor crossing might be a traitor.
Two might be a coincidence.
Three is certainly a failure of leadership.
This isn’t a sport. This is politics—the governance of the nation. Be open to listening to your MPs and stop acting like a clown or step down. Enough is enough.
As the floor-crossing dust settles, Conservatives are bracing for more defections nationalpost.com/news/politi…

No, they said the mandatory minimum sentence, or longer, should apply in nearly all cases. They were just concerned that it might catch much less severe cases

How you know Pierre has dirt on someone:
Just putting this out there - @PierrePoilievre is an amazing leader. I am honoured and inspired to be a Conservative MP under him. If not for unfortunate & unhelpful comments about Canada becoming the 51st state during the last election, our nation would be under his capable & astute Prime Ministerial-ship & our nation would be moving in a very positive course. As it stands, we’ve just been saddled with the biggest deficit in Canadian history outside of COVID & our economy is tanking. Meanwhile the Liberals are having a happy, clappy good ol’ time oblivious to the stagnation and pain they’re inflicting

🔵 I can’t believe what I’m reading.
Today, @PierrePoilievre and the Conservative Party had the opportunity to trigger a snap election.
The Bloc proposed amendments. If these amendments passed, then an election would be triggered as the House leader Steven MacKinnon considered them a matter of confidence.
The NDP, the Bloc, and the Green Party voted to TRIGGER an election. They voted FOR the amendments.
Pierre Poilievre’s conservatives voted AGAINST, with the Liberals.
Poilievre single-handedly kept Mark Carney in power today.
There is no legitimate reason to do so. Let’s say the amendments were crazy and unreasonable.
Even if there were clauses in the amendments that would mandate pride flags on every street corner, and a $100/hour minimum wage, if the Conservative Party voted for them, they would’ve never been implemented because we would’ve just gone straight to an election and the budget would’ve been void.
Poilievre knew this. Jenni Byrne knew this. His advisors knew this.
Yet, the CPC chose to vote with the Liberals and keep Make Carney in office.
I am baffled.
