If you want people to listen to your opinions, try presenting them as advice.
Opinions are easy to discount because they sound self-centered: "I'm expressing myself."
Advice is more trustworthy because it's other-focused. It conveys an intent to help: "Here's an idea for you."

Men who act like jerks are more likely to get away with sexism.
When a man is rude to other men, people are more likely to overlook his misogyny. They think he's just an asshole.
We shouldn't give pricks a pass. Treating everyone poorly is not an excuse for degrading women.

Most leaders value loyalty. Great leaders put a higher premium on integrity.
Loyalty is allegiance to power. You're expected to show deference and follow orders.
Integrity is allegiance to principles. You're expected to challenge orders that violate your mission or values.

Jamie Benn had the same amount of goals and assists as Nathan Mackinnon and yet I don't hear ESPN talking about what a game changer Benn is.

In the light of what’s happened in Israel and Gaza, a song about non-violence seems somewhat ridiculous, even laughable, but our prayers have always been for peace and for non-violence…
But our hearts and our anger, you know where that’s pointed. So sing with us… and those beautiful kids at that music festival…

Carbonic maceration is a unique winemaking technique typically used to enhance the fruitiness and soften the tannins in light to medium-bodied red wines. In traditional wine production, grapes are harvested, destemmed, and crushed, and then yeast, either naturally present on the grape skins or added by the winemaker, consumes the natural sugars in the grape juice and converts them into alcohol.
Contrastingly, in carbonic maceration, the initial fermentation process does not happen because of yeast but occurs intracellularly - meaning inside the grape itself. This technique involves placing whole, unbroken bunches of grapes into a sealed vessel filled with carbon dioxide. In this oxygen-free environment, the berries start fermenting from within. They use the available carbon dioxide to break down sugars and malic acid (a primary acid in grapes), producing alcohol and a variety of compounds that contribute to the wine's final flavor.
During this process, polyphenols (better known as tannins and anthocyanins) migrate from the grape skins to the pulp, causing the white flesh to turn pink. Once the alcohol content reaches around 2%, the berries burst, naturally releasing their juice. At this point, a typical yeast fermentation process takes over to finish the wine.
Carbonic maceration can completely change a wine’s style and flavor profile. If you’ve ever tried a red wine that bounced brightly out of the glass with an ultra-fruity bubble-gum aroma or crunched lightly with cinnamon, vanilla and earthy, stemmy flavors, light in color, low in acidity and tannins, and exhibits strong fruity aromas. These wines are generally intended to be consumed young. it’s likely you’ve encountered carbonic maceration. These wines are generally intended to be consumed young. 🍷
