14-year NBA veteran CJ McCollum when I ask if these Houston Rockets (now 5-0) look different: "They're more poised. Battle tested. Obviously Freddy (VanVleet) is back, so he kind of keeps them under control. They play through ĹengĂźn a lot. Obviously, Seven (Kevin Durant) is still really good. You have to double him. You're basically in rotations the whole game and their guys are getting more comfortable making plays on the second side. Whether that's finishing, shooting threes.
"Everybody kind of know their roles and I think that always helps. There's really good clarity on their team as to who they play through. And who needs to touch the ball.
"And I think the pecking order has been established and they all fall in line."

Collin Sexton: "No, I know Brook. He's a very good competitor. He's one of those guys, he's chill, but if you make him mad, he's going to go there, for sure, like his brother. So, I just didn't know, and at the end of the day, that's how that's how you're supposed to compete. At the end of the day, if you push, fight, foul. That's how the game's supposed to go. So, whenever I'm out there, I kind of expect it.â

Steph Curry on Anthony Edwards: I texted him earlier, my Olympic teammate, and we want to see him healthy. I know he's gone through some stuff with the knee, but you just gotta have to do what you can with the rehab.
Attack it the same way you do getting ready for games.
Get your body as bulletproof as possible.
Knowing that stuff, stuff had injuries happen. Keep your spirit right.
For him, it's a long year, and I know two months or whatever the prognosis was, but he'll be back in no time, and hopefully he can pick up where he left off because he was playing at such a high level.
So you want to see everybody healthy if you can.

Penny Hardaway, postgame: âI think (Arkansas) is a Top 5 team, not Top 12 where theyâre rankedâthatâs just because theyâre young⌠I mean (they have) size, athleticism, speed⌠And Mikka Muurinen might be the #1 overall pick. This dude is ridiculous.â

Please keep in mind Jason Crowe jr and Dylan Mingo are both younger than Reece Alston & Chris Paul jr
You think that was part of their evaluation? Of course not. Which is why we desperately need new evaluators in HS basketball

"Jalen Brunson cold. I been through that though. And then KAT is justââhe's huge, he's huge, he just makes the right decision, can shoot, trail threes, just plays the basketball really well. Honestly they're just a good team. OG's really good too, really physical, hard to go against, hard to score against, they just have a really well-rounded team. And even Jordan Clarkson came the bench and finished it. He played really well. We get to play them again next week at their place. We'll learn from this and hopefully we can go out there and get a win"

Watching Cooper Flagg right now and felt it a good time to bring this back up. This really was an all-time amazing moment in basketball analysis. Truly remarkable

Two straight Finals runs with Embiid and a 43-year-old LeBron? The numbers say otherwise. Embiidâs availability and LeBronâs defense make ârealisticâ a tough sellâand a fourth-best player wonât close that gap. #NBA #NBADebate
