This is great and in my opinion is spot on thanks @MCCCANM
My daughter will start flying lessons in a little over a year. She doesn’t want to be a pilot, but she thinks it will look good on a college application. Fine by me; I don’t care if she ever touches an airplane again after she gets her license…I just think it will teach her confidence, to remain calm in a crisis & most importantly, that nobody is coming to save you. You must rely on yourself & the stakes are real. I’ve flown w/ plenty of female pilots. Some were not great, but at about the same rate that some male pilots weren’t great. I remember Nanette, keeping the KC-10 steady in Afghanistan with only the standby attitude indicator after we lost literally everything else. Just humming along, like she did it everyday, and listening as we worked the checklists. I guess my point is that immediately blaming the female is out of bounds. Maybe she did have something to do with it, but so do males. By the way, the fact that you hear her voice on the radio means she wasn’t the one flying the jet…she was the “Pilot Monitoring” & runs the radios / navigation. We learn things from every crash. This one will eventually make it into a lesson plan, and students will hear the tapes. It’s not pleasant, but understanding what the cockpit environment may be like in an emergency is an important lesson. Panic is your enemy & causes you to make mistakes like shutting down the wrong engine. You must fight it, but…eventually there is probably a moment you know the fight has been lost and you are going to die. I might scream, too. There are multiple ways you leave this profession, but it comes down to two scenarios: One day, you’ll stroll out to the jet knowing this is your last flight, with your family & friends in attendance. There will be a party after. Or… One day, you’ll stroll out to the jet not knowing it’s your last flight. We hope for the former & prepare for the latter.

OpenAI is bringing NVIDIA’s Vera CPUs into production on Oracle’s cloud to run code and tools for AI agents. Initial tests showed 51% higher Python throughput and 2.2x memory bandwidth per thread vs. a leading x86 CPU Oracle plans an initial deployment of 150,000 Vera CPUs. OCI’s Vera offering includes standalone bare-metal and flexible VM instances, allowing customers to scale CPU and GPU capacity independently. NVIDIA and Oracle also announced general availability of Vera Rubin NVL72 systems on OCI, with plans to expand Vera Rubin superclusters to multi-gigawatt scale. Oracle also plans to introduce HGX Rubin NVL8 systems, offering eight Rubin GPUs in an x86-based server configuration.

Correct. Using Starlink, a civilian commercial service, for offensive drone strikes to kill people has never been allowed, nor should it be. Starshield, a different system, is controlled by the US government. What they decide to do is up to them. Ukraine military violated Starlink terms of service and used it for offensive drone strikes to kill people. That loophole was closed last week. Starlink remains critical to the defense of Ukraine, as it is the only system that cannot be jammed or blown up, at least for now. Were Starlink to be turned off, the Ukrainian front line would collapse immediately. This is NOT a threat, it is simply a statement of fact. Starlink was also crucial to preventing Russia from overrunning Ukraine in the early days of the war, as all other means of communication were destroyed or jammed by Russia. SpaceX has done more to defend Ukraine than any private company on Earth BY FAR. That said, I have nothing but UTTER CONTEMPT for the virtue-signaling evil warmongers who push for endless slaughter and offer no realistic solution to the conflict. May you burn in hell. End of story.

BREAKING: The total value of the US stock market has surged to 350% of the US M2 money supply, the highest level since the 2000 Dot-Com Bubble. Since the 2022 bear market, this ratio has surged +170 percentage points. Over this period, the S&P 500 has rallied +118%, while M2 has risen +9%. In other words, the stock market's gain has outpaced the money supply growth by 13x. The last time equity market growth exceeded M2 growth by a larger amount was from 1995 to 1999. Asset owners are winning.
