Completely different angle on this, I always thought it was because in the Cyberpunk universe everyone was speaking their preferred language while the listener’s chrome would auto translate. Padre always saying “go with god” was obviously him saying vaya con dios to me.
After working with kids in the suburbs, it is even more unnerving how out of touch suburb kids are to how life is in the city than I had thought. City folk making fun of suburb folks has never made more sense lol.
Smashers are inherently averse to nuance as it challenges their typical rhetoric of “Just do X.” It may be hard to hear for some of them, but multiple things can be true.
My ever growing hatred for TikTok and short form media in general has never been more justified since working with children. Every other idea that comes out of these kids mouths is some dumbass shit from TikTok. Some adults are sadly the same.
Young Japanese guy was trying to recline his seat and the white girl behind him was trying to push back against it and was talking shit about the guy to her friend. When deplaning, he turned around and said, “We speak English.” And calmly told her off. She reclined too lol.
So hype that brakence is back. Calling it now just off a first listen, I think the percussion is distorted beatboxing.
Personally my favorite org to work with. Such a damn shame how things unfolded. I hope everyone involved can keep above water and maybe start something new.

Mentioned Mexican Independence Day being tomorrow and got hit with “Um, actually, it’s today.” “Oh. I thought it was the 16th tomorrow. Gotta check my days.” “No, it’s on the 15th.” Checked later and I was right. Extra mad because ofc no one um actuallying me was Mexican.
DFW has the worst signage clarity I’ve ever seen. Why the fuck is there a sign that says TSA Pre with no arrow with a sign above that says security ->, but it’s only normal TSA and TSA Pre is half the terminal away AND that checkpoint funnels you into the wrong line anyway.
