I don't watch (more) Premier League because of DefCons... but do I check the app 📱 more often to see how my defender is doing? Yes. And I bet many fellow FPL mgrs on here do the same.
THIS is why DefCons aren't going anywhere (imho ofc).
I've made DEFCON breakdowns for 10 different players already this season.
On average, 10.4% of DEFCONs weren't on TV, 15.6% relied entirely on subjective decisions, and 25.% required an additional replay to determine whether the DEFCON was even correct.
That's why when people say DEFCON is a feature designed to get more people watching PL matches, respectfully, I just don't buy it.
