Have you visited ‘Seriously’ yet at Museum & Art Swindon? As nights start to draw in, why not come and see Night Sky by Jack Smith - the painting suggests a dense night sky with glinting stars.
In 2017 @FrMASwindon generously funded the conservation of this work.
On until 4 Oct.

When we reopen on Saturday, it’s not just the gharial that’ll be new - we’ve changed our shop area and Origins galleries too! The brand-new displays will include two new acquisitions to the Museum & Art Swindon collections, which haven’t been displayed previously.

Paint Fest returns to Swindon this weekend and some of the artwork is already taking shape! 🖌️🖼️🎨
Some incredible artworks are being developed along Princes Street thanks to the amazing work by Leonidas Giannakopoulos and Liam Bononi.
Organised by @Artsiteltd, Paint Fest aims to inspire the community and provide a platform for artists to showcase their talents as well as create vibrant murals and public art to help brighten up Swindon.
The event takes place this Saturday and Sunday (31 August and 1 September) with a number of activities happening across the town centre and Old Town including workshops and live painting.
You can find out more about what’s happening by visiting the Paint Fest website: swindonpaintfest.weebly.com/

The Elizabeth Frink exhibition is fantastic - even more so now that I have this piece of personal history to relate to it 🤩
Privilege to attend the @MuseumandArt opening well done to all involved & @strinkovsky
Fun fact, my Dad was friends with @csakyart, Frink’s stepson, I remember running around his home as a child being told ‘don’t touch’ by my parents- incredible to see again as an adult

Before cutting your lawn and treating it with weedkiller, consider how many creatures love living in long grass. Let grass grow lusciously long and help wildlife thrive. #nomowmay #nomow #urbannature #buzzandscuttle
