I won’t claim to know what the key bottleneck is here, frankly because management’s messaging around this point has been quite opaque. A few years ago, Elon passionately made the point that going slow with FSD once it was significantly safer than a human was immoral. Now it is meaningfully safer than a human, but the script has flipped and we need to go slow anyways because any safety incident whatsoever would be bad. Last quarter it was doubling fleet size every month, with new cities like Vegas launching within two months. Four months later and miles driven per month actually decreased, and the proposed rate of new miles shrunk to 10%/month. I know this is a hard problem but their own internal goals and messaging are incoherent, and there is certainly not a sense of urgency that we’re picking up from Elon’s words or tone.

As a $TSLA shareholder you need you ask yourself, what is Elon incentivized to do? For example, if Tesla share price decreased to $100, would this benefit him?

My takeaway for $tsla earnings This was a make it or break it earnings call, shareholders deserved straightforward answers, and we didn't get any. No other major company operates this way. - the launch yesterday was a nothingburger, shiney distraction before - dogshit earnings - more vague robotaxi guidance, basically give you made up number and tell you to figure it out yourself - can't believe anything Elon says at this point - Elon says slow rollout because of safety, Ashok says 380k miles no incidents. Which is it? - Elon said last earnings call that V15 would be a giant leap in safety, and it would be irresponsible to ramp before then - Ashok says today, V15 already running in robotaxi, so I guess it's not safe enough. - dodged all the Say questions, giant fuck you to shareholders. We don't like these questions, and you don't deserve an answer. - SpaceX and Tesla will 100% merge, which creates a massive incentive for Elon to stall any major robotaxi developments, bleed the stock as low as he can for more favorable terms. "We'll get a premium!" 50% premium isn't very good if the stock is sitting at $200. Shareholders will be begging for a merger at that point. Elon does not want the stock moving higher, point blank period. This is what makes me sick to my stomach, but as a person with a brain, I have to come to this conclusion because it checks every single box for why we have stalled on robotaxi, and Tesla has completely flipped on the guidance they gave us last year. I've been in this stock for over 6 years. I've seen $500, and $100, I bought through it all, COVID, declining sales, twitter purchase, political backlash, and more, but I have never felt worse about the stock than I do today.

The insidious nature of $TSLA influencers is that you feel like you're staying up to date on your investment. Your initial thesis might have been sound, but by being lazy and listening to a one sided story it makes it hard to realize when the thesis begins to drift

Elon’s got all the cards. Don’t bet against Elon.

Guess vehicles sales still matter $TSLA

To put this number into perspective, @Waymo is averaging ~570,000 driverless miles per day.
0 notable incidents across over 380,000 miles traveled by Robotaxi

If the $TSLA influencers you follow are posting positive things about Tesla after that earnings call, take note. These people don’t care if you lose money. They’re in it for their own gain

My feelings on the earnings call: Time to re-allocate, at least for the 3-6 months or so. I still plan on keeping some Tesla, but the narrative has gone from "We need to deploy self-driving vehicles as fast as possible to save lives" to "Any life lost poses too much of a risk to the roll-out" That's a big change. I love Tesla and SpaceX, but I feel more comfortable in other stocks at the moment that feel more stable while offering potential suprises to the upside. NOTE: Not investing advice, DYOR, etc.

$TSLA earnings call- clearly Elon doesn’t care. More of wait until next year. What’s the board doing?

As I’ve been saying for over a year, the data point that matters is how quickly $TSLA goes from 1000 to 2000 unsupervised robotaxis. We haven’t made a dent. Everything else is hype nonsense

If @robotaxi is not capable of scaling in a single well known city like Austin, why are the number of cities increasing?

Replying to @DillonLoomis
I’m beginning to think Elon is playing games and stalling Tesla’s performance in order to get a favorable merger deal and claim higher ownership by leveraging his SpaceX shares. Tesla had INSANE innovation speed, and then all of a sudden, then spend 2 years on hand design….

This is so cool. It allows tumors to be liquefied without any incisions. The way it works is it uses a phased array of ultrasound emitters. The energy that each produces individually isn't enough to hurt your tissues. But the point where the they intersect is enough to liquefy the tumor. It first received regulatory approval a few years ago, and they've just started ramping production of these machines in the past couple of years and have already delivered 50.
I have been to Mission Hospital in Orange County, California and observed the groundbreaking Histotripsy procedure. It uses focused ultrasound waves to create tiny cavitation bubbles that mechanically liquefy and destroy targeted tumors. Royal Raymond Rife observed this in 1930.

$SPCX is cooking, and they’re showing the world. $TSLA also cooking, but they’re keeping it hidden away. Why?

What impact would it have on Elon if $TSLA stock runs to $2500 before $SPCX acquires it?

Elon is taking time to update us that $TSLA cars now available in Uruguay. Thanks man. It's not like every Tesla investor is waiting on news of Robotaxi roll out. But hey, at least we voted for your pay package

RT @grant_melson: This posted question is completely ridiculous guys! We shouldn’t even DISCUSS a merger before it’s presented UNLESS it’s…
