Hispanic voter turnout has surpassed presidential levels in Texas. My church in Dallas has over 500 Latino Christians. Guess who they voted for? Definitely not Talarico. Stop buying the nonsense that Latinos love the democrats. It couldn’t be further from the truth.

Other data shows R's with a 400,000 EV advantage through Monday 10/26. Your numbers are not up to date.

I keep trying to help people see how futile it is to create a primary model for Texas since there is no party registration. Here’s an example from Hidalgo County in the Rio Grande Valley. There were over 58,000 Dem primary voters and only 18,500 Rep. That is a D+52 split. Trump won Hidalgo by 3 points - first GOP win since Nixon. In these South Texas Hispanic counties, which have only moved hard right in the last six years, there still isn’t much traditional GOP infrastructure and there sure as hell aren’t many neighborhood ladies’ republican clubs. Just about every local office imaginable all throughout the Rio Grande Valley is run by a Democrat. Those are Dems like Henry Cuellar, not psychos like the ones shooting heroin in Austin. If you want a say in local politics then you still draw a Dem ballot. Until the GOP makes permanent inroads there, that will be the way it is. But you should also know that people making models using primary share may be technically correct, they are functionally wrong by not explaining this important FACT that such counties will run hard to the right of their primary participation splits.

You've only released one poll on the Texas Senate Race. That was in September according to RCP.
I have been polling Texas for MONTHS. There is not 16% undecided.

Hard to say what this really means. Only 11% of the electorate voted in the Republican Primary, and outside of 2026, Texas hasn’t had a truly high-stakes, competitive Republican Primary in 10 years. I wouldn’t automatically assume that No Primary History = Democrat. That said, these numbers are no cause for comfort either. The models are all over the place because nobody truly knows. We have to vote.

The ever-cleverer @longhornderek caught this and wrote about it about 15 min before I did in his nightly report. I'd say great minds think alike but I more just stumbled into it trying to find a good hit of copium.
So... A *massive* number of the D EVs are "1 of 4". Seeing how much that number dwarfs Democrats who always vote in their primary... I wonder how skewed the scoreboard might be by formerly Nov. only D voters becoming ID'd Democrats in the early vote... It could be a lot...

Democrats narrowed the GOP lead this evening. More progress is needed tomorrow to match my model. Final full-week turnout has been historically consistent. If the trend holds, Republicans should enter the weekend with a 100,000-ballot advantage. Dashboard: freshtake.vote/2026G
