Trading Garrett Wilson because it will be years before you have a QB good enough to do anything with Wilson and win games makes sense to me. Having a good asset and letting it depreciate because you guys will continue to be missing playoffs is crazy. Pretty much paying him on wasted seasons.

I’m sensing a move coming at WR from the Chiefs. The Colts are actively selling and events are moving rapidly now. Tyreek is negotiating with somebody. And the Jets are shopping Garrett Wilson. Wilson is the optimal choice, but need roughly $10M in cap space through 2026. Chris Jones retirement could cover a big portion of his contract in 2027 forward, but it takes some juggling and likely a big check from Clark. Tyreek the second choice and it’s possible a deal is being finalized right now. Maybe the most likely option. Josh Downs an intriguing option, and the cheapest through 2026. Last year of rookie contract, so there is that. But he could probably be had for a 4 since Indy wants to move on. Plus an extension wouldn’t break the bank. I’m no Chiefs insider, but all this is public intel if you know where to look. I just feel something is happening at Arrowhead. We’ll know soon enough..
